There should be, in my opinion, an option in the Mytargas Arena to fight a dummy. Give people a -leave command to get out, or a button somewhere and so forth.

The idea would be to set the Dummy's resistances and armor, and any other factors that might be important, for testing out dps. It would be a fantastic way for practicing builds.

The setting resistance/armor thing is optional but as long as you can test your dps and general output on said dummy, shit would be fantastic.

I hope you actually spent time to think through what you just said, before typing it down.

Some people have shit to test, not every build can be tested based on purely calculations and assumptions.

If you do not like it, you are not obliged to use the new system that may be implemented in the future, simple as that.

I have never, ever called you ignorant. Too self concious perhaps? I believe so. Anyways being able to test different builds will help players ALOT and decided which is better for the TEAM overall. If you dislike being good of playing in a TEAM, then thats your own problem really.

Lycan is a situational pick, i didn't make my nickname because of dota but when i started dota i also liked lycan so.... anyways i can play all heroes without a prob

Lycan is actually a pretty descent carry, even in competitive scene. His farm and survivability is good, not to mention his descent dps. His wolves are also very useful for various reasons, if your micromanagement is descent you can even block with them (I kid you not, I am not saying this just theoretically, this IS possible)

With the MS of the wolves sure, you can block, but it would be ineffective and pretty bloody tricky, although impressive to see. Invis scouts are pretty damn awesome though.

There are many, many better choices though. He's decent, but so single target focused with so little to benefit other than auto attacking. You'd be better off seeing a Slardar.

You'll notice watching previous league videos that he was used by shitter teams and spent the majority of the time farming, only winning due to the assortment of items that suit other carries just as well. Hell, if I do pub with a Lycan, I always get midas because once that shit is down your farm rate skyrockets then once you come out swinging with BKB and MKB, shit just goes flying.

But yeah, better carries. Many, MANY better carries. You're not looking for decent you're looking for shit that can change a game. Max MS/Minor crit/bit of hp isn't going to do that for long.

Well you're right on that point, there are plenty of other heroes than can use same items he uses for a better good. But the same can be said about akasha - all of her skills suck compared to other versions. Her slow - really weak, just a funnier version of Veno's Venomous gale. Blink? Antimage has a better scaling version. Her nuke? Nothing that impressive, needs to be close to targets to be used at all that makes it a dangerous thing and lastly, her ultimate simply sux balls compared to other massive damage ultimates, nothing is all that impressive about her, but it is the combination of skills that make her really deadly and flexible. Same shit about lycan, dude. His ulti might not be as useful as Void's chronosphere, but he really rocks, I've seen him being used by good old teams (I miss the old DotA competitive scene!) not really long ago. But anyways... neither this topic neither these forums are for DotA anyway, so I guess we should stop here. xD

It's disappointing to see because hes so goddamn easy to counter.

As for the Lycan points, sure, he has synergy. Most dota heroes do. However, comparing him to QOP who has multiple skills that allow her to do pretty fucking amazing stuff is just not right. Lycan - ulti and auto attack, wolves, cry. Done. Not only does QOP have a minor slow yes, but its still a slow and early game that shit counts. A cheap aoe to farm like crazy and yes, blink, which is an INSANE advantage for an int nuker, she also has, with aghs, a low cooldown aoe nuke. She is indeed when put together an amazing hero. With the appropriate items, shes nearly indestructible.

Lycan on the other hand simply requires fog juking for 13 seconds or so, I forget how long the ulti lasts now. Is it 16 at 3? something shit like that.
