So me and a friend of mine are planning on creating a campaign for warcraft III. The thing is, we're both going against each other on what we both want. We have two things that we disagree on. The number of players, and the theme. Here are our ideas. We won't tell who came up with what one, but I figure it'll be helpful.

I seem to have forgotten to mention this: Please do not vote for two themes or two amounts of players. This is just for one per player amount/theme.

Single player is a must.

Two player option is very welcomed but more than that can make the campaign unplayable since you waste time looking for players.

All themes are nice but I would pick:

- Troll Wars - major event and it will let us experience the Trolls as a major race - If you make this one make sure we get to control all 3 factions ( Amani Empire, Arathor and Silvermoon) in the campaign

-The exodus of the Horde - Warsong Edition - even if it`s covered in another campaign, it will still feel fresh because the Horde is featured in fewer campaigns then the Humans or High/Blood Elves.

-The Great Extinction - a great idea, I like it very much plus the Taurens one of the most underused races

-The Defias Brotherhood - a good pick, I guess you will have to make more missions that involve controlling units and no base building, something fresh

I say go for the Troll Wars - a very important moment in the history of Azeroth.

Here's responses to all your thoughts of the themes:

Troll Wars - If I were to do this one, it would be 3 missions playing as the Elves, 3 as the Humans, 3 as the Trolls, then 1 where you play as both the Elves and Humans against the Trolls. Gives a combination feel to it.

Exodus of the Horde (Warsong) - I feel there's a mild amount of things I can cover in here. Enough that I could potentially make it worthwhile to incoming fans.

Great Extinction - Agreed. It'd certainly go for a section that hasn't been covered as much as other parts of the horde.

Defias Brotherhood - Totally. It'd go for the feel of many stealth missions you see in different games. Some in which you control a group of bandits who each have to do an individual mission before the rest can continue, some in which you have to sneak past guards one by one as the patrols pass by. A lot of the sneaking inspiration would come from the first Scourge mission where you must gather the acolytes. Just a bit more consequence for being found.

I played a lot of campaigns, I`m an avid consumer, but I don`t think I played one covering the Troll Wars and very few campaigns with Trolls.

I guess it will not be huge but you can have a general story about the Warsong prior to leaving, the exodus itself and what happened before they meet with Thrall in the Barrens.

With a bit of imagination you can make this a great campaign.

In mission one you eliberate one concentration camp while Thrall is eliberating another. It can include base building or not.

In mission two you can have the Warsong assist the rest of the Horde who assaults Durnholde.Base building present.

In mission 3 you assault an Alliance base to get ships, Thrall is doing the same to other naval bases.Base building present.

Have an interlude that has Thrall elaborating Grom - to link it with the real story.

In mission 4 you land ahead of Thrall since you don`t crush but you still have to fight Quillboars and Centaurs to link up with all your men..err i mean orcs. No base building.

In mission 5 you are moving ahead with your clan - guard mission, fighting raids etc. NO base building.

In mission 6 you come across two Alliance bases who block your path into the Barrens.Base building - big show down. :D

This is just an example of what your could do.

Good for training up your skills.

Niiiice.I would like those campaigns.

I see you like to follow lore.I was thinking of an alternative story about numerous orcs from many clans escaping and reforming into a new clan that still uses Warlocks to control demons but has started to practice shamanism again. They would use felhounds as fodder and still have forest trolls as allies.

If their campaign would happen right before and during Burning Legion invasion of Lordaeron you can explain the lack of knowledge about them easily because there were very few if any survivors.

Sounds interesting?

Aaaanyway I`m babbling too much. :D

A good idea. Mainly it's all dependant on my main thought of the focus.
Some already are formed in my head and are fairly interesting. Others are soon to be scrapped.

I'd like to state that for the most part I am a very avid lore addict once again, but for certain situations I can change it without ruining lore. A fair idea however.

If you are such a big lore fan I am fairly sure you will pick the Troll Wars, it has High Elves, it has Humans and it has Trolls. :D

You can release improved versions as time goes buy if need be, like Tomo and Forsaken are doing.

Cheers mate.

The Results are in! The decision is.... -drumroll- A 1 player Nation! It was close, with Troll Wars 2 behind. I will kindly ask a moderator to lock this thread if they would be so kind, as I shall start a new poll to decide which race shall be chosen.
