Indeed. The redirection link at the very top of the forum index is designed to call attention to the forum itself.
Our erstwhile webmaster is developing a script so that the redirection link will disappear for users who have X posts (25 or so, I think).
Stay tuned: when he finishes working out the kinks most of us won't see that link anymore.
