Besides all the changes, fixes, and balancing going in 2.11. We will be releasing The Neburean Foothills along with two new boss fights

The quest line will pick up where Murton & The Plague ended and unlock the Eastern side of Nebu Harbor. From there several new quests will unlock including new repeatable quests (for gold only, not exp) to help build up money for the new zone.... The Neburean Foothills

Players will notice some terrain changes in the Dry Run Mines along with the North Eastern side of the Plains. That shallow water path to the east of Lugard no longer exists and there is a nicely drawn bridge (thanks Sevinx!) in the north eastern corner of the plains that leads into the new zone (pictured below)

Crossing this leads to 2 places. The High Road, which is the path everybody uses to get to the Central Region that is quick, easy, simple, and safe. The other place is the new town of Barnil (pictured below)

The High Road of course is not accessible anymore due to the demonic disturbance... its.... temporarily out of commission I guess you would say! (pictured below)

So naturally you have to enter the actual dangerous mountain foothills and cross the hard way. Why do I even want to cross this? Well that brings us to the story line!

Being the good and noble heroes you are, you decided to help the Elite Guard in their plight and uncover a dark secret that they were trying to keep under wraps and handle the issue quietly, but as you have seen coming up through the levels, not only is wildlife a problem, but the world is still infested with demons from the old war. The job was never completed and they are regaining their strength!

The Neburean Foothills and Mountain Pass has become infested with demons and they have errected gateways to their world to allow more demons to enter Kaliron. They must be stopped! You and your friends must venture into the foothills, find these gateways, and find a way to shut them so the cleanup process can begin. But this will be no easy task.

Each gateway will constantly spawn new units that will pour down the mountain side towards the town of Barnil, which is currently under Marshal Law due to the elite guard setting up camp there and making it their HQ. There will be a set number of preplaced defenses to help you defend against the onslaught of demons, but they will not hold forever. You must close all portals before the captain dies, or the town will be overrun and all hope will be lost as the Eastern Region will not have any defenses left to keep the citizens alive.

To aid in this defense, you can do repeatable quests to bring supplies, equipment, and food to the people in need and in return, you gain gold. This gold can be used to purchase additional units such as Elite Footmen, Elite Gunners, Elite Priests as well as HP, Armor, and Damage upgrades for the defense. As you upgrade the defense, you can venture out into the mountain side and towards the gateways to close them, but the town can only last for so long on their own. It is a battle against time. Can you succeed?

If you can succeed, you will also succeed in pissing off Hazthul: The Portal Master who will now emerge from the shadows. If you can defeat him, you can lure out the Master Summoner and maybe.... just maybe... save the Eastern Kingdom

The terrain isn't quite to par with the rest of the map imo. I don't care for the rocks on the hill side especially.

The city looks really nice however!

The newer part (the defense) reminds me very much of the game The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, which I have no quarrel with, it just has many striking similiarities.

never played it, but I guess the whole defense thing isnt an original idea, but then again, nothing is original anymore, everything has been done!
