I ripped them from the game myself using tools found on this forum
Used : Holocron Toolset to extract game assets MDLedit to decompile Kotor game model files to a format readable by Kotormax Kotormax, a 3DS Max plugin to import Kotor mdl-ascii model files. Neodex to export the model from 3DS Max to Warcraft 3 mdx format Retera model studio for model editing, animation editing, and other various tweaking
After exporting the model and all its animations (~79) to mdl from Neodex, I removed unwanted animation, added attachments, added some guns also exported from Kotor, geoset animation, and other small tweaks so the model "fit" into Warcraft 3.
Some animations aren't used but I still believe someone might like them, therefore I didn't remove them.
I didn't know where to put team color, I didn't need it, therefore no team color.
I resized the textures, which originally weighs 1Mo.
I didn't attempt at reducing vertexes number because I was afraid of breaking the animations.
I really wanted to keep animations intact.
Spent 0 effort on icons.
I recently got the desire to make some Star Wars maps, but I haven't been much satisfied with available Star Wars themed models.
Not wanting to spend time learning how to do 3D modeling and animations from scratch, I thought I might attempt to use models from other games.
I don't really feel bad doing this because I believe I kinda give a second life to those artworks.
I will make a thread documenting my process, "research", and problems encountered while doing this ripping.
I ripped the model with its animations, I did not make any animation.
The models you showed were ripped without their animations, therefore you have to manually add/create them.
I believe the following video can give you a starting point :

Bro, if you could help me, I'd really appreciate it. I thought you did a great job with the Star Wars models you uploaded, but I'd like to use other models and animations from KOTOR, and from what I've seen, you're the only one who's done it. I have Star Wars and Mass Effect models that would look amazing with animations like those; I hope you can guide me on how to achieve that.
