One solution to your predicament would be this:
If you have photoshop:
  • Open any BTN icon. Delete the contents except for the edges.
  • Repeat the first step with the DISBTN, PAS, DISPAS, etc..
  • You should now have about 4 different files (non-flattened) with the proper WC3 Icon edges.
  • Whenever you create a new icon, copy and paste the layer containing the required type of edge (BTN,DISBTN,PAS,DISPAS)

What I did was use Boot Camp Assistant to partition my hard-drive to have both Windows and Mac OS on my computer :p
