Make the yellow in the background area, less visible so the eye is more on the face then I will approve.

You could move it to left for a bit, to skip the undetailed part on the left side and to show the pipe's highlight on the right.

Yellow highlights brings it to life and makes it so you can see the facial structure better, your version makes it dull and look vintage, plus making it harder to tell what the face looks like.
