Smaragdus was once a small nation, under the rule of the forgotten rulers of old. The nation may have been small at first, but its land was abundant in resources to supply its people and its inevitable steady growth. As time passed, the people of Smaragdus utilized their resources in creating infrastructure for their people's homes and a place for small businesses to thrive. They soon became a Sprawling city, responsible for balancing the human kingdom's economy and making trade deals with the Northern Races, like the Dusk Fall Elves and The Deep Rock Dwarves.

But alas, due to a civil war between its sibling nations of Rubadai and Sapphirus, it had isolated itself from the conflict. Safe behind their walls, the ruler of Smaragdus and her people remained neutral during those times, The Kingdoms of Rubadai and Sapphirus tried to negotiate some terms with them, but the Forgotten ruler rejected those terms and only demanded peace. But her demands were coldly declined as if something had manipulated the rulers of Rubadai and Sapphirus to do so...

Eventually, their walls couldn't protect them from the Raging flames of the Corrupted Diety of Flames... The Flames consumed the city, marking as the beginning of the first Dark Invasion...
