no u have to use a imported MiscData.txt

download MiscData.txt here, attached at the first post.

then create a folder called 'UI' in your warcraft 3 folder and put the .txt into these folder.

then open your world editor and start using raise and lower tool to make it look like that. and also a plateau tool to flatten them.

The same way you manipulate any binary file. The byte format for it can easilly be found on the web last I checked. The bytes are in little endian order.

Well in Java I would use a FileChannel to read into a ByteBuffer the file and use that in LittleEndian byte order to manipulate the bytes.

And why would you recommend a newbie to attempt this instead of just importing the modified MiscData.txt?

Because newbie does not mean stupid? What does WarCraft III modding have to do with his ability to manipulate binary files? I was giving him it as an option.

It allows much more control that modifying MiscData.txt.

I would like to see you create this with only a modified MiscData.txt...

Notice the square grass cliffs. The spike of water. The boarderless cliffs. And there could be much more.
