List of Known Bugs (Since 01-18-2016)


Below is a list of known bugs, please check them when reporting a new one.


KNOWN BUGS

  • Random red units: Seemingly randomly, certain units will have a red player color! This has been seen in the Undead Campaign mostly. If anybody has any idea what causes it, please let me know. Further investigation reveals that all the units that can be effected by this are all custom units that are pre-placed on the map.
  • Overlapping Cinematic Conversation: Occassionally a conversation in a cinematic can glitch, causing the waiting to be missed and the conversation will be rushed and overlap. The cause of this is believed to be one of the players minimising their Warcraft 3. A solution has not yet been found.
  • Research System Bugs: There are various bugs associated with the Research System. Putting several researches in a chain will not disable the researches for the other player. Meaning both players can research the same research, which can cause a loss of resources and unwanted limitations to the techtree. Don't stack up researches to avoid this. Another glitch is exchanging a building while it is researching, which again can cause a loss of resources and unwanted limitations to the techtree. Neither of these bugs currently have a known solution.
  • Random Disconnections: Certain players suffer disconnections from the game, making it difficult to play. The disconnections are believed to be caused by DeSyncs in the use of the 'Spacebar Point'. Having observers in the game greatly increases the chance of this happening. If you notice a Disconnection bug in the same place several times, please report it.
  • In H6, Malganis AI is a bit stupid occassionally. The AI is not my own, so I don't know if the bugs are flaws in Blizzards triggering, or the addition of a second player has broken the AI.
  • In H1, Artillery Strike's learn tooltip has a typo in it. "Learn A|cffffcc00r|tillery Strike" instead of "Learn A|cffffcc00r|rtillery Strike". This causes not only the hotkey to be highlighted in gold, but most of the spell's name.
  • In H2, if you want to level Command Ward, it says it lasts 20 seconds, if you have it learned, the tooltip says it lasts for 30 seconds. (World Editor duration states 20 seconds.)
  • In H5 insane mode, the Town Halls are once again shifted from their positions. [Fix will be up soon]
  • In H8, during the victory cinematic, Captain and many other forces are missing while Arthas talks to them. Four Peasants also magically appear out of nowhere halfway through the cinematic.
  • In H9, if you use a Scroll of Teleportation, (You can buy one from the nearby Goblin Merchant) just before the map ends, Arthas will be teleported during the cinematic, causing him to disappear for the rest of the cinematic. This may be important, because, without Arthas there, Mal'ganis is not killed.
  • At the end of the human (and probably undead) campaign, even after playing all of the maps, still do not get an end of campaign report.
  • In U1, when victory conditions are met, Falric does not become invulnerable
  • In U2, On Chapter Two, the learn tooltip on Falric's Tainted Blow has a typo in it. "Level 2 110 bonus damage..." instead of "Level 2 - 110 bonus damage..."
  • In U2, On Chapter Two, the Halls of the Dead's Freezing Attack leaves an inappropriate buff, named "Sunstrike".
  • In the Human/Undead Campaign there is a typo: 'contruced' in the messages.
  • In some Night Elf chapters (and possibly Orc 8), heroes' icons still show up on the upper left corner even after the map is over.
  • NE2 & NE4 are pretty much broken, and are in need of a complete rework.


I plan to review and fix as many bugs as possible in the near future.
