I can see why you used that sheild to cover up some of the center of the body in that screenshot, that is pretty horrid texturing XD

Plus the colors and equipment are all wrong for an early 1500 spanish militia.

Though simple and as mentioned the equipment wrong I still believe it can find a place in some maps perhaps as the Spanish King or Prince? That is typically because only they would wear the national flag since until the past few Hundred years your national flag was your Kings banner.
