Well, this simple axe is my first model.
It's created in GMAX and I tried to make it as low poly as possible for me without looking completly bad.
Uses ingame textures for sure
I should underline the "me" in the text xD Actualy this model had 152 polys after finishing it and I collapsed as much as possible :/ I could reduce it more, but I think the curved blade (front) wouldn't look smooth anymore. Also some polys are wasted because I started with a 5*3*3 block, 5*3*2 would look exactly the same but save 15 polys. I bet I also could fix this axe with the way I mentioned, but I don't know how to remove these vertices without screwing up the mesh q.q
But thanks ;D
EDIT: Let me guess, 2 blocks with alpha channels for the shape?^^
wow a first model and its really amazing. as well looks really realistic but i would agree with -BerZeKeR- that the handle should be a bit longer but its cool as is ^^ 5/5 and +rep
There isn't a direct converter, but: gmax has a function that creates a huge script with all the vertices/animations and so on. You have to CnP it into a .mdl file and convert it into .mdx. There is a tutorial in the model section of the forum.

Well,I'll need kinda request.
Could you make the version which can "replace" axes of model Troll berserk (Like Troll Warlord in DotA) by adding them to hands?
Because this axe is too big for me and there is still a blade from original axe.
