A model of the Ice Shard item from the game. Uses the in-game texture from the icon. My *very* first successful attempt at modeling for WC. I mean complete model and animation and all since I've modeled before but never completely (since I can't ever figure out how to animate in Milkshape).
Dedicated to one mr. General Frank whose method of item modeling I followed.
Might be useful, might not be useful. Either way, enjoy and credits etc. etc.
My goal is to make an extremely small sized model. The details comes from the texture (the icon). Seen in game it looks "detailed" enough. And the "ice" clouds effect helps (you'd have to see it animated in game).
I think I achieved my goal LOL. Next thing I make will probably that skull shield item. If I could get that right I'll move on to more complex items.
Skadi(i dunno what it's called in warcraft lore) would look good as a new hero/character head, good attempt for a shiled but the icon looks more of a head and it'll be kind of hard to think of it as a shield for some time.
