A nice WOW-inspired model. Works in-game and performs well. Good job.

^ this is especially true for special effects, since they won't tilt on slopes (unlike buildings/units).

One could use a dummy unit to make it work somewhat at this stage.
This might still look quite odd, depending on size and steepness of the slope.

You have to lower it's foundations into the earth, otherwise it will levitate on uneven terrain.

As i said: It is not meant to be a building, but more like the Shimmering Portal or even the Totems like the Stasis Totem.
If it was meant to be a building then the building sequence would at least be 60 seconds long. Along with an entirely different way of "birthing" it.

In it's current state it is meant to be Summoned by an experienced Warlock and to be used as a temporary Gateway between two points.

I know that, which doesn't change the fact that it looks odd on slopes, especially steep ones.

Which can be fixed quite easily, like Proxy mentioned.

As Amun already said. The difference between the models you've mentioned is that the totems only have one point where the touch the ground, so it is not as noticeable when it levitates a bit. The shimmering portal does not even touch the ground at all.

Your model has multiple points where it touches the ground, making it look not good when placed on slopes.

I'm amazed to see so many demon/undead and human buildings... but for orcs and especially night elves there's almost nothing
very good anyway
