Contruction of Stormwind

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This is the first map in a campaign i am making about the story of the Defias brotherhood. it involves the Stonemasons and thier leader Edwin Vancleef as they are exiled from the city of stormwind after reconstruction. Bassically this map will be a playable prelude to the rest of the campaign. please leave your comments/suggestions here and I will see about making those changes.

made alot of changes to this since first realease. mostly the doodads and terrain but did some cinematic changes as well and fixed a few things from before.

wow this is a very nice map of stormwind, im an ally player myself so im quite familiar with stormwind and this is a very nice duplicate of it but when i go through it and i see some zones, it seems very spacious and lacks that city like effect.
- maybe some walls behind the houses?
- also outside stormwind at the front where you have a few empty spots of grass just put in some trees and critters mayb. would b a nice addition 2 the terrain.
- on the streets in the center put in white marble to give a more realistic street effect.

Overall this is very impressive 3/5+approval.
Keep up this and put a bit more effort and you'll be doin perfect.

This seems to be a very promising map, and very good copied from wow (Alliance player:grin:)

I suggest you:
-fix the tooltip for the stone smiths.
-fix the icons for the architects and their tooltip.
-add quests with the current objectives.
-do as said above: fix some richer terrain

I see that open zone stuff too as the camera pans around at the beggining, I will add more buildings instead of just blank space with walls.
I totally forgot about the outside of stormwind area, i meant to put that house and GY that are there, thanks for reminding me.
Im actually planing on replacing the streets entirly as i get a working skin that i like. Im finding alot of skins that just arent working including models. he model for the king and the model for Mathis was the only 2 that worked out of about 17 models i DLed.

well, it's what i can say:
- SW (Stormwind) doesn't have that kind of bridges in the canal, change them.
- Also the Terrain of Stormwind and outside of it isn't good at all, needs improvement. (Specially Outside)
- When the camera is going to face Edwin Vancleef, it will go into some houses in the way, change the distance and rotation then it won't pass inside the houses in the way to Edwin.
- And why did you make all of Stormwind, like Mages' Quater, The park, Dwarven District when they are not used in the cinematic?

And what should we do after the cinematic?

And the hive is a site where maps of an avarage quality will be approved, first map or not, if the quality isn't high enough, or it violates any rules, I reject it without mercy.

  • Lack of tile variation
  • Lack of doodads
  • Bad use of heigher/lower terrain-tool
  • Natural cliffs in a city
  • All triggers
  • Some typo's
  • "Default String" as the heroes name
  • Without looking at the object data, I immeadiately knew you used the paladin for Edwin (22str, 13agi, 17int, 24-34dmg).
  • The camera went through buildings
  • Bad description (in-game and on the hive)
  • Very short
  • You only need 1 worker to end the game

Overall: 1/5 - Rejected

Lol, I wasn't talking about this map, or the creator of it...
There are just a few people that have to leave the hive for a while because they infest it with their lacking behaviour.
I'm not getting fussy over anything.

Edit: yeah, I know socialism... ever heard of real life?

eh, i knew it wasnt best ever but i put a fair share of work into it. If it gets rejected shit happens, currently fixing alot of stuff right now and re-subscribed to WOW just to walk around SW and try to immitate as much as possible.

yes, need to change agility and str around and make him agility hero

Well i put basically everything that happens in the description minus where you walk to.

anyway i just dont want to make one whole bad campaign so i pt first map up to get idea/suggestions/thoughts so i can implament rest of it, thanks for all the input.
