Anyway, you can show off your spore creations here...

I call it CRAT... (Well, the cell looks like a crab and a rat so there goes why its called CRAT)

It really transforms alot... Yeah..

Oh so, here are some compilations of the organism...

Oh and heres a short review of Spore for me

Spore is a game with different possibilities. You are a cell at the start, and let me tell you, it makes a lot of sense on how it works (If you are a small cell, super large cells can't find you, but as you grow, you can be eaten by them, but if you grow more, you can eat them.) After that, we go as a creature, going OUT of the sea and into land. Have jaws on arms, have poison sting, horns, plenty of different looking eyes, extend the legs, make the backbone larger to make the creature larger too, give it skinny legs or fat ones for health or speed. Have the ability to sprint, or jump, glide, charge, sing, dance, spit, and different kinds of abilities that seemingly is familiar to warcraft's. You stay with a pack and the focus on this part is to get smarter, and as you do get smarter by "interacting" with the other creatures, you can walk around with your trusty allies. They move and attack when you do. After that, its all about tribes and now it seems like it's now a strategy game... In this part, you make babies, you assign adults with jobs like fishing, hunting or guarding... And you have rival tribes in the same planet. You can either impress them with some instruments or just unmercifully kill them... After that, you become a civilization. You can design wacky buildings and create land, sea and air vehicles. (Unfortunately, there is really not much use for putting a plasma cannon on the tank except that its initial damage increases... No plasma coming out of the plasma cannon)... Now, you'll find other cities of the same species of you... They are really mean and demanding so don't go sensitive... You can have trading routes with them, ally them and help them attack cities, attack them and shoot missiles on them, or end the civilization stage and go to space stage after you click the "ICMB" icon that launches nukes to every city... Then space age takes in and if you played the whole 4 stages without quitting, then you get God Gamer award... Which happened to me...

Here's an early version of a gnoll, armored. Frankly I think he sucks, but I did put a bit of effort into it. Gah, and the camera angle isn't friendly. I've still got more work to do.

hey so ive been wanting this game for a long time now, i like stratagy games and i can play bnet (and most custom) games with no problem of lag.
so...
1) do you think this game is worth getting?
2) is it the type of game ill be addicted to for a couple of weeks then stop playing completely?
and 3) how well does this game run? / how much does it require of your computer?

Depends who you talk to. Some people think it's crap and a disappointment, others think it was great. Most people though think it is lacking in gameplay and depth.

Probably, yeah.

It's a total resource hog. When I quit Spore it takes a few minutes for my computer to "recover" from it and get back to normal.

Honestly, I didn't buy it (Download (Cough)). And not buying it made me realize that this game is less addictive than the Sims.
2) is it the type of game ill be addicted to for a couple of weeks then stop playing completely?
Have you ever played the Sims? Actually this game isn't really complex. Less complex than the Sims. Its kinda repetitive. There are a lot of things that you can do, but in standards, everything is pretty much old once you've done it.

I play my Warcraft on high quality. Spore on the other hand is very low quality on mine. If you lag a lot in Warcraft because it can't take it, then this MIGHT be a problem. Loading is fine for me and it is 2 GB all in all.

Anyway, I haven't played this game for about 1 week. I don't think its because its boring... But once you're done with Spore, you're done with most of the excitement of it. In my Opinion.

Eyes are too big, skin is too..lizard-ish, the hands & feet don't exactly fit the Gnoll. You still have to fix the mouth.

Gah.. I keep on wanting to fix the mouth on my Gnoll, but that includes shutting everything down so I can edit..

I made his hump out of a lot of little stone pieces, but the angle doesn't show it D:

The 3rd and 4rth were in game creations, the rest were made with the creature creator.

Here's a creature I just made, and I'm actually quite proud of him. First time I've tried to make non organic parts in a creature.

Rarely seen, this creature spends 23 hours a day lying in tropical canopies, sleeping. It has been given no official name, as it has only been seen in glimpses, and is not verified as an existing creature.

I think the only thing wrong with my gnoll is that it doesn't look very fierce... at all, and the eyes are too big but they are as small as they can get, take a look.

The eye's are too reptilian, I think. The green mohawk doesn't make sense to me, maybe a different color, and I think his base texture should be something furrier. There can definitely be better hands. Also, his tail is not very good. The hearbear ears aren't pointy enough, IMHO.

I think start there, and he'll start looking better.

You can't really do much about the tail because there aren't really any good tail parts. You could try using that bushy-looking antennae though.

I don't really know allot of what you are talking about, because I use the creature creator demo not the full thing, but soon I will have Spore itself. and the mohawk is actually made out of grass pieces made black.

The grass thing isn't very good for that because it will always have green in it. Best to find a different piece.

Spore is a bit wrong..

Cells do multiply not lay eggs..They split on each other..AND THEY DUN HAVE EYES ~_~

Spore cells phase is Plankton-like..Why would they name it CELL ~_~

There are so many things "wrong" with spore, but it would be pointless to point them out. It's a cartoony game, it's bound to be "wrong" on some levels. Just focus on that the game is freakin awesome.

Hehe, yeah, Spore is wrong on many levels, like how an eight pound duck can kill a thousand pound cat by spitting at it behind a nest. And how they use food to make houses in Tribal stage, but who cares, it's fun, and that's all I need to know
