WTF!? (Database issues!)

Your copy of vB just told me it couldn't connect to the database. I refreshed, and it worked. WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Thats not the point. The point is there is another issue, OTHER than the "server busy" issue that needs to be identified and fixed.

Over the past hour, I've been fixing a number of issues on the server, reconfiguring and updating software, and optimizing the performance to hopefully take care of the issues people have been seeing over the past few days.

The database connection errors and random blips are a side effect of the reconfiguration, but things should be in working order now. Please report any other issues that might show up.
