WoW sounds for a map?

I read the Hive's overall site rules, and there is says, "The direct exporting of resources from games other than Warcraft III is prohibited. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, World of Warcraft®. No such resources may be submitted to THW. Forum discussions pertaining to the export or editing of resources from other games will be closed."

Does that mean that I can't upload a map with a sound from World of Warcraft such as Arcane Explosion or a Boss Speech?

Yes it isn't the right forum but anyway, YOU CAN upload a WoW sound, i think, only WoW resources are allowed, others from other games like Counter Strike etc. are not and i think that rull is only for the model part.

I dont think so, but there is a map on the site that i believe uses boss dialog sounds from wow. A map that contains wow exported models will be rejected, but i personally think a couple of wow sounds is no big deal, if you want to be sure, try send an email to blizzard and ask them for permission.

Technically, it is not against WoW's terms of service, the ToS only mentions "modifying" game files, and since you're simply extracting them from their archives, you're not actually modifying them. Plus, Blizzard actually authorizes the extraction of this music for personal, noncommercial use. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/community/machinima/letter.html
