This is my review to the FINAL version of "World of Warcraft Resurrected: Shadow of Undeath".
It is a spin-off "World of Warcraft Reborn". What is different in this map is that you no longer pick Warcraft III's regular heroes, but instead a new set of custom heroes. Freelancers no longer get a crazy amount of stats, and that's a plus because +15 stats for Freelancers was totally crazy.
But before we get there, I'm going to give you some tips for the presentation.
First of all, why is this marked with the Defense/Survival map type? This is RPG, and ONLY RPG.
Second, your description is huge. The description is used to describe your map, letting the user know of all its features. It is not for a huge changelog. Keep it in [HIDDEN] [/HIDDEN] tags.
Now, the game. As I said, the initial changes didn't sound bad. The first thing I came across was the unorganized ability set of my hero. I always recommend coordinates for skill-able abilities to Y=2.
Then, professions. I remember how the weapon smith's items in "WoW Reborn" were lame, and in "WoW Resurrected" they still are. With the hero I picked, I could forge a sword that would give me +15 damage right away, making the game barely a challenge.
But the majority of the items are overrated too. I had barely started when I found a Blacksmith neutral shop that would sell me a Bladebane Armor for 1000g (which I had!), granting me 7+ armor and 6+ strength! And there were other items like that for sale, such as the Crown of Kings +5 (and this one for the same price as Bladebane).
The Barrow Den (potion-selling structure) contained an item that had 0 charges for sale. Translating, you were unable to buy that item.
The problems with the neutral buildings are not limited to the item shops. On Nethergarde, I was able to purchase Overlords (level 6 creeps with Howl of Terror) for 135 gold! Adding to my Hero's Phoenix, I could defeat anything that came in my way.
The bugs go on. The Phoenix and other air creatures could attack underworld creeps in the Khaz Modan/Dalaran canyon, for example. But the thing I heard from my partner was what scared me the most, and the main reason for my final decision on this map's status: the ability to construct Gold Mines.
What else can I mention? Varimathras's infinite health and 5k damage Infernal? An unchanged terrain? Sorry, but a spin-off takes much more than new sets of heroes and unbalanced skills.
My rating is 2/5 (Lacking), and the map's status is Rejected. The map contains way too many bugs to be acceptable.
