Hey you guys there :)

I had an Idea all the time, so i want to get it here. Like you maybe know, there is a great team working at a really great WoW RPG, a campaign.
So, i like WoW more with other players so, i take an Idea of my Dungeon Gods Map.

We are beginning with an Area like the South of Azeroth, so every Kontinent is 3 parts big.
Instances, Raids, Battlegrounds and other famous and important places are also other maps.
By using a Save/Load System, you can take your Character into the other Areas.
So, it´s a bit like campaign.
Now, if you are interestet, we make a team.
If you want to join, tell me here what, why you want to do it.

Good. I also play WoW (of course :D) So, i will beginn to make a few things, like Systems etc. So i will post a new Version here.

If you dont have a terrainer i can help you..i played Wow two year and i know the map but for some detail i can check sdreenshot

@baassee: We do only classic wow. So we will begin with the warrior spells.
We make atm a Spellbook "System" with 1. Normal Abilities 2. Skill Abilities (For warrior: Fury Def and arms)
@thekebecer: Please show me a screen of your terrain, so i can say how i could need you.
 
I think this is gonna be great, but I still prefer to download the game itself and play in private-server (I know its sucks but..)

Working on this kind of project would coast alot of time, because:
-WoW itself contains alot of data, including monsters, NPCs, quests, raid, etc.
-In Warcraft III campaing map, this will be hard, because I think you've to use alot of custom models/icons/spells etc etc
-The map size itself will be great (~3-5 mb) at least.

Hope you release beta-version soon so I can test how the work goes on.
I wish I could join the team, but I can't figure out what I can help with...
 
Well, yeah. I also hat offical servers (cause i play RP) so i moved to RP-Servers. I know the project costs a lot of time, so i thought to make a team, and we will begin with the Human_Area, Elwynn Forest. (Including in the first Map, the south of Azeroth, the eastern kingdoms)
So, i hope we will do it.

Hm, I think I got an idea
If you can, make all classes available, like:

At the begining first, players select a race
Then players can select their class
And after that, you can select your sub-class, which will be determine by the talents from WoW (Like: Warrior -> Arms/Fury/Prot). And every sub-class will have 1,2 or even 3 special abilities different from the other sub-classes.

I think it will be great if a sort of this being implented into the map.

I don´t understand...you want to choose like:
1.Race (maybe Fraction before^^)
2. Class
3. Skill?
I would put point 3 away cause i would do it like:
1. Race
2. Class
If you reach lvl 10, you can "skill" at one of these: (warrior example) Fury, Arms, Def
So you´ve got 4 Spellbooks: Normal and 3 Skills: Fury Arms Def
So its a bit more WoW like dont think so?
 
the first wow 1-60 warrior spells or wrath of the lich kings ones too? cause I cant make those but I can make the first ones if someone else make a rage system in preferable vJass or Jass

btw you want a spell book for each and every spell section? one for arms, fury and prot?

you want the spells to have some kind of talent system to that makes them better if you have talent points in them?
 
so. we are ONLY doing the classic wow.
To the Rage System: Check the one in the attached map out.
To Spellbooks: there are 4 Spellbooks (as hero spells) with these:
Usuall Abilites (Heroic Strike etc)
and the "Skilltrees" Arms, Def, Fury for special spells and bonus. :) HF
 
Having spell books sucks, having more spell books sucks even more.

I'd go with 4 initial spells and then you could learn 2-3 spells via talents and arrange some or all classes into 3 difference classes. For an example mage could be pyromancer (fire), hydromancer (frost) and arcanist (arcane) - all difference heroes. Same goes for all classes: warrior would be splitted into berserker (fury), vanguard/protector (prot) and warrior((?)arms). This would be mainly because it gets imbalanced and confusing when you use spell book and try to use 100 spells like in wow..
 
yeah good point. Ok then. 3 Heroes each class.

(1.)Maybe we can include Class-Teachers?
We pay with gold, the wood is reserved by Honor-Points
We will also include Titels, PvP, Battlegounds etc.

@Slaydon: Could you do an ex. for point 1.?
 
i would say we will begin with a start region, so elwynn forest.
but make the ground of the kontinent part first.
 
well, we want the best epic WoW-Experience so epic.
every part will be a masterfull piece of terraining i hope :)
 
I'm quite sure that the WoW terrain is based on a program like WCIII World Editor, just better and more anvanced. They got better models for the terrain too. That's why it can be a pain in the ass making it looks like WoW 100%.
The Barrens, Durotar, Orgrimmar and Thousand Needles is a good place to start on the terraining.
 
mhm...yes...so we will start with horde....orcs & trolls.

Your making an large project here.
It will be hard and you will work on it at least for 3-13 months.

Well i need terrainers cause i have another project atm, iam just leading this one. I don´t have so much time to do it :P
 
If your starting at Orcs/Trolls land, then start with the starter village. A cave, firecamp and some grunts running around and cutting trees. Starting with making the heroes selection area would make it easier too. Just create a hero orc, the spawnarea and some mobs at the start. (If you need any information about the creatures or wootever. Just PM me) :thumbs_up:
