ok is this possible to edit a map with world editor without havint wc3 installd on his comp ? cuz im at school now and i would like make a new map terrain but i dont want to instal wc3 is this possible ?? and if it is can you give me a link ?
1. After patch 1.20 (i think) wc3 does not need the cd so it is portable...
just copy the folder to your usb stick and it should work anywhere... (at least for me it does)
2. There is a 3rd party world editor in the tool section which is portable.. Here we go
i only need a light editor to for terrain making when im at school lol thx for dl ill try them if u got any other feel free to put other link it may help other poeple
If you copy WC3 folder on usb stick, make sure you delete all sreenshots, saves, all maps you don't need, movies and all that rubbish. Basically, all you need are .exe, .dll and .mpq files from main directory, everything else is optional. Unfortunatelly, that will still require 840MB
If that is too much, use some MPQ editor and delete data you won't use, like campaigns, from the archives.
