Anyone have the Problem that they cannot keep themselves glued to one map idea, and finish the entire map to it's fullest?
Any ideas?
here are some of my own:
-plan first
-put down the project for a week or so and force yourself to play it, and then to pick up where u left off
-watch an inspiring movie ("great artists are also great thieves")

@deathchef: 7 project?, at last an insane map maker just like me!
I had 30 - 40 project that needs to work on, most of them is a private project (around 30-34 private project), and only 4 that will be relased to public, one of them is monster rancher: monster of the past (click sig)

I find the best idea is to listen to atmospheric music while you progress through mapping creation. Then again, I never use this idea - which is probably why I've never made a successful map.
Another idea which I have been trying recently is starting by 32 x 32 then just terrain it, if you need more room then just extend the map bounds.

of course the 7 projects that I said I need working on are compleatly playable, but I have quite some more unknown maps that i haven't worked on for long and stopped working on them because I got bored of it or just that I have enough projects.
