Winter Mage

Yup I've been absent for too long, but here I am with a new toy:
Made the model during the winter so named her Winter Mage.
Was looking for a model that would remind me of DotA2's Drow Ranger's Arcana (since I failed to obtain it...) but I didn't want to make another ranger model so I chose her to be a mage instead, and here is the result hope you guys like it.

Edit: She could also be used as an alternative for DotA Crystal Maiden as well.

Update:

Two new variants, the first one: with some mesh changes, new animations ( also tried to fix some of those stiff animes, specially during the attack animations ), some jiggly movements ( UHM you know what I mean ) and other changes to the portrait, all thanks to Greedy Martyrdom (the portrait Chad) and an Icon (Winter Mage) beautifully designed by BaiyuGalan (Thank you!), which had me thinking on creating an additional variant (the second one) led me to change her skin tune, her lips, necklace position and some other meshes so that it would resonate better with the icon.
I also kept the older version, since some ppl may prefer the older version.

Hope you guys like The Updated Variants.

We are truly blessed with delicious mommies these days.
On the other arcane hand her file size is quite thicc and her animation a bit stiff. But they are enough as they are.
Nope she ain't a mommy material tbh xdd, she is in her mid/late 20s
And about the arm, I'll prolly buff it up a bit more since that's the main focus of the model - thanks for reminding me tho.

As stated, I too think that the animations are a bit stiff, and the file size is rather large. I also think the blue cloth could be replaced with TC. Otherwise, a neat model.
hmm, I see - well I don't see her animations stiff but yeah, I'll see what I can do - the filesize is a bit too large yup, can't help with that - and about the TC, you are absolutely on point, I'll make a TC version after I add an "attack slam" anime to it.

Outstanding work Jab1z!!! The outfit looks neat, I like the corset and the runes on shoulder and bracer, animations are quite good in total, the edited death of archer is nice touch, the unique face...

The sandals is weird choice though, it's not very winter type of shoes, I would go with fur boots, they are quite comfy in the dry winter (as for me who lives in cold place)

Thanks man - Yeah the bracer on her left arm was meant to prevent the frostbite from spreading any further throughout her body, In fact had this death animation idea that the bracer would break and the frostbite freezes her to death or smth, but that wouldve been too much work.

Yeah, now that you mentioned it, it makes lots of sense to give her some shoes or a boot perhaps.

Maaan, ain't she hot despite clearly cold demeanor?

How much beauty can be squeezed from vanilla textures and a healthy bit of dense topology? This one proves that quite a lot and is exactly what I love about your assets. I don't mind the animations being a little stiff, as it's not that noticable with standard distance of WC3 camera. Besides it's not actually bad.

Gonna make a Modera model for my projects, using this as a base, if you don't mind :].

A pretty Winter Maiderino with nice details! My general thought, like it was said above, is: "The model's proportions fit Reforged well, but feel out of place for Wc3 Classic. However, can see a lot of work behind this." especially on the geometry and eye-candy effects. I believe this model can easily find its place in more HD-oriented maps. I only wish the animations were smoother and more natural, though they are epic-looking. And Jab1z is posting in the model section and that is great news 🙂

Thanks for your compliments - Yeah, need to work on that part a bit, but I wonder which parts could benefit more from a more detailed anim? perhaps her dress you say? then I may try reanimating the mesh, or perhaps her stances? hmm

She's kinda robotic in animations, like in 'Stand-2' or 'Attack-1' when she's not moving pelvis to move legs. Like if one tries repeat her postures in real life, he or she would look like an electrodancer 🕺 Also you could try to improve her 'Portrait Talks' just by bounding her lip corners to a bone and scaling it when she's talking to get wider and more O-type mouth, so she will not just do "am-am-am".

woah, that's some very good tips, I never noticed it even in my own other humanoid models ':)
thanks my man.

Your model can be set to move eyelashes and blink more naturally instead of 0.01 sec blink, I see you use double lashes where one lashes is hidden and then you rotate in stepped interpolation to pseudo blink?

Also you're very strong soul for not adding bouncing physics.

Yeah, Agreed - I can do the eyeleashes in a natural way but that would not be worth it :']
Yup no more bouncing stuff...

for now

It's been 3 months since I touched warcraft model...

@Jab1z Here's EDIT with added mouth bones and eyes. But I messed up upper eyelashes's visibility because I animated eyelids and upper eyelashes, my bad... Also I changed model setting to use Linear animations, not bezier(my personal choice because it gives me better control) so if it suits you, you should transfer only portrait animation) Generally this high poly model is complex and it will look not finished if unanimated, but I guess you didn't have time to experiment. It took me about 5 minutes to add bones and 3 hours to create facial anims)

WOW... Damn dude, that's basically awesome, thanks man - I've been already working on the model my self (since yesterday) - but thanks...

Now that I see her face up close, her chin(Jaw) is not curvy enough...

Edit: Alright apparently smth is wrong with the file you've uploaded can't open it with magos model editor atall. any Idea anyone?

Try to open in RMS, go to Model tab, Header and type in Format Version 800 on the right, I think it's just reforged 1200 format version.
