So, I have been going through maps lately and have seen a lot of people that dislike the map called "Gods Land". May I ask why?

A few reasons why I can see people to dislike this genre and map;

- The name will bother people
- The idea bothers people
- Not enough content in any map to be even called close to that
- Always rigged hero's somehow given to a player or player red(G) just likes to abuse
- Nobody seems to want to role play since not enough units to pick from and it is just another melee with a overpowered player within it.
- Usually unlimited resources with no food requirement leading to lag while massing someone with either Tier three units or towers.
- Usually never quests to reward a player for doing something.
- Needs more object data (items and units and spells and doodads)
- Needs better terrain
- Isn't unique
- Nobody listens to idea's
- Rude players
- Poor code/triggers leading to lag and delay until fatal error or freeze up.
- There is more but you all should get the idea...

I am planning to make one myself but.... not containing any of these since the G player will not be in physical form but will have to do something else to entertain her/himself with other things that the map allows while unlimited resources will be there, can only be granted by the G player.

It will also have random events with quests maybe.
Units can attain random effects after being trained and still thinking about a level-up system for units, as well a better one for hero's.

There shall be more but while doing that anyone can feel free to share their idea's with me if they want it to have a chance to being put into the map.

If you want to make a "God's Land" that people will actually enjoy, axe the God, and limit the amount of units that can be produced per second. Don't limit the total amount because that's one of the defining features, but limit the amount created per second to a much more measurable number.

Likewise, you should make so a person isn't simply killed off. Even though "God's Land" doesn't really provoke RP, it does provoke a social setting, people don't want to get wiped out by someone who knows what they're doing, and the game is open FFA, so the natural want to form allegiances is there. If you add some form of "capturing" another play instead of killing, to perhaps gain his resources and increase you overall output per second but still allowing him to participate in the game, that would add a lot to it.

Also you need to make heroes actually viable, and limit the amount a player can have. Heroes will need to have much more AoE counterability but they can't just be outright unstoppable, just a tactical nuke to be used against other players, if you will.

Those are just some of my thoughts.
