Where to start?

Where would be a good place to start to learn the theory behind going the terraining? So I can relay my information to my terrainer more effectively?

Not sure about "Theory"... but it's just something people enjoy, and happen to be good at, or bad at.

well, start out simple. just checked out ninjasdontfight tut, and its pretty nice. i didnt realize my little scene was in the "advanced terrain" section in the tut, but thats ok.

Well, if you want to start with artistic terraining, use the UTM, make stuff out of the nature, think about how it would look good, try to bring life to a picture.

hmm go look at HT's work, and thats how a good terrain is made.
