Okay, let me introduce myself! I am [RAINBOW]GnoobSauce[/RAINBOW], I have been modding WC3 for about 3 years, but never successfully. I am pretty skilled at terraining and the other basics of modeling, skinning, triggering (GUI), spell creation and general object data modifying.

This will most likely be my last "EPIC" project for WC3 because of the impending doom -ahem- arrival of SCII as well as Diablo 3. My project is called When Twilight Wakes, it is of the RPG genre since that genre is my favorite and it was always my modding dream to create one. It will be 4 player, but single player will be available as well.

Setting:
In the first era of Karackasz, Twilight was created. Her domain is the kingdom of Mercanas. She was a zealous ruler, but became too warped with the prosper of her country. Thus, becoming a threat to life in Mercanas and surrounding countries, she was banished by the 11: A court of High Gods who govern ALL in their universe.

In the years following 512 (the banishment of Twilight), Mercanas thrived, but lacked a deity. The hunger for a god(dess) was so great that eventually (around 4,550) a bold Cleric ventured to the island of Twilight's holding, this island held a portal to the nethers where she was kept. This portal was set by the 11 for a prison realm, as a realm cannot exist without an entrance of some sort. (Thus, without existence, there could be no imprisonment there.)

This Cleric, Alastair (later given the title of Saint) was utterly destroyed by the explosion of Twilight's ether chains, but nevertheless granted a holy burial by the people for a deed that seemed wonderful. His tomb is crawling with demons and other foul beings of Twilight. Alastair, having freed Twilight, also has the power to imprison her once again. Therefore, any person capable of resurrecting him is unable to get to him, ensuring Twilight's reign. Twilight has grown so powerful with her

This is where you (all) come in. After replacing the shaman of your choice, you will gain power and travel to dangerous regions in order to become who you need to be to defeat Twilight for good. A mighty goddess would not expect a mortal to rise in power and defeat her; however, there are many Holy Relics throughout the land held by various people that, when combined, are extremely potent in power. You must venture forth into the bowels of whatever pit you may find in order to gain these relics and cast down Twilight once and for all before her eternal darkness reaps doom upon Mercanas.

Terraining: 7% (256x256 size map)
Models: 10%
Textures\Tilesets: Unknown%
Triggers: 0%
Items: 0%
Spells: 0%
Story: 88%
Ideas: 45%
Overall: 3%
I have a map drawn out of the kingdom of Mercanas which includes areas, area names, dungeons, cities, villages, strongholds, class trainers, shrines, places of importance, landmarks and geological features.

The map should cover all of the terraining ideas with the exception of a few little "spices" to spruce up the map a bit.

Gameplay:
There will be a maximum of 4 players. The goal is to be the first to get the relics and form the Holy Weapon to kill Twilight. There will be no defined classes, but there is a catch. Being a shaman in the land of Mercanas is a great honor and all through your childhood, your powers are put to use in agricultural purposes, but when you become an adult officially, you must replace another shaman who will then die. (Shaman are immortal until a new shaman rises to replace them.) There are always 4 shaman in Mercanas. The Raven, the Bear, The Wolf, and the Serpent. You must replace ONE of them. Each are unique, none better than the other as there are many bonuses to each. The level cap will be 50, but there will be PLENTY of content for you available to reach that level before the time comes to face Twilight.
