What's the state of SC2 modding?

Can anyone tell me what is Moonlite?

Moonlite is an IDE for mapping and modding.

It includes support for Galaxy, Iris, and Blueprint files.

Galaxy being GalaxyScript.

Iris being Data.

And Blueprint being UI.

It also includes support for WarCraft III mapping.

It is highly extensible and flexible. A very useful program.

(concepts behind both are taught as fundimentals for all CS degrees).

and not all modders are taking up CS degrees...

anyway, I'm still thinking if I would buy it now, or wait until they release all the expansions...
