What was the name this old Aos?

Years ago, somewhere around ~2007-2009. There was a Map like Dota, but it was very different from Dota and extremely professionally made. I think it had a Z in the name somewhere, like ZoAs something. It had a Wolf character that could transport across the map quite a bit. The teams were on the edge of the map in the far left and far right. The terrain between them were various routes of curved paths. It was unlike any other Dota spin-off in its superior quality. I haven't been able to find it.

Please if anyone knows, I'd love to find it!

Good luck on those 346, try searching Z or something :/. http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps.php?d=list&r=20&t=40

I went through all of those yesterday and didn't believe I saw it. It's astonishing but I believe something so well made and professional to every detail, was somehow never picked up and got popular (and apparently not uploaded to here)

The terrain had magnificent pathways/landscape, and they weren't straight they all curved and stuff so it took a while to get to the other side (and the Wolf character could transport across them). I don't remember what the left hand side base looked like but I knew the right hand side one was in the right corner and had one or two towers that attacked incoming stuff as they approached in from the top of the base. The map was pretty big, and I don't believe it had any water. The theme was hard to describe, it was basically a light wilderness but not like you'd see in any normal Wc3 map, there were few trees and you could kind of see the different paths as you went through one.

Thanks but sadly that's not it. The map didn't have any ice (it was a sunny kind of very light wilderness with no grass, much more happy and professional looking), and was more square in the mini-map versus elongated rectangle in the mini-map of this picture (my paint picture is misleading). It also didn't have much of any heroes like Dota would have, like it didn't have any Lich King or Blade master IIRC. I don't remember much of the heroes besides the transporting Wolf (he had a white texture and was decently big).

The paths weren't at all like ones in this "Aotz", they were smaller like bike trail paths, and more of them, and connected at a couple places I believe.

The name was similar to Aotz though, the Z might have been at the beginning

I can't think of any AoS which matches all of your criteria. You might like to double-check Eve of the Apocalypse; it has a wolf hero which can traverse the map, and has several terrains so it would be easy to mix up.

If you find it, please PM me and let me know so I can help anyone else who asks about it.

I'll check it again but the terrain definitely didn't have snow like this "AoS" does. None of the google pictures or this one video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT-CRj_CO38 of it look anything like it

I would spread the map to everyone if I found it, it was really really well done. It didn't look like Wc3 with how well done it was but not to the extent of some games where they just add a bunch of custom models and it looks bad.

I'm with softmints, you're looking for EotA: Twilight

Nope =(, I looked at a lot of pictures and see where the elements of what I described with towers and stuff is similar but http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/members/149429-albums6950-picture76757.jpg It was bigger than this, and stretched more so left to right (though it was pretty much square) than up and down. The terrain didn't look like normal Wc3, it wasn't straight grass it was more more elegant

I went through my old downloads folder of past maps (300mb worth), I've had like various computer restores as a kid and sadly it looks like I played the map (downloaded it) prior to this only back-up I had. I'm guessing it was made before Dota version 6.57b since that's the oldest dota in this backed up folder

Thanks guys! I super appreciate all the help as I really want to find the specific game and thought I wouldn't get any response for asking this thread. I think this game series might be it but none of the 5 battlefields match up with the map I played on (and think there was only 1 option at the time?).

The first Battlefield (Stormfields peak or something) is close to what I played as the unit sizes are small, you die quickly, there is a Wolf hero who transports, and the terrain pathway is pretty close especially in regards of work put into it and appeal (although the map I remember still triumphs it). All the other maps weren't close to what I remembered as the map, especially anything with palm trees and anything non-forest like.

What's not right though is there was only one central base for the right side (I would say the same for the left but I only played from the right so I can't remember what the other side looked like), in which eventually if we were losing (the right side) they'd start making it to our base and destroying stuff or something (like Dota) which was at the very lower right corner and the building structures were closer together and had less room for the enemy to close into the base with some towers at the opening. This stormfields place has two bases for each team and the main base buildings are way more spread out and don't look like what I remember (I remember the buildings being more technology looking, close to Tank Wars type base buildings: although not as techy and not that many in number).

This stormfields map also isn't the same as the map I remember was more hilly (raised height like pathways up a hill) and the pathways were a little smaller and had sharper curves and they weren't as flat as this stormfield map they all kind of raised higher towards the middle of a map more like hiking trails and as such I think the actual pathway at parts what yellow tinted and had a little less grass.

I also think there was less fog of war in what I remember.

I don't remember objectives either, it was more Dota like. http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/maps-564/eota-twilight-v-1-15b4-84463/
