what makes some models instantly visible?

This is a WEHZ, not Map Dev thread.

Anyway, the key is to not use the object prior to saving. The order whenever one import model should be as follows:
1. Import model
2. SAVE MAP
3. Apply model to object data

If 2-3 is done in reverse, the editor must be reloaded for the model to display.
