the max you can have a multiplayer map is 4MB. This is to stop ilegal files being transfered over battle net I think.
There are ways to try to keep your map small.
Delete all none used inported modles.
Delete all none used Custom Units, Spells, Buffs\Effects, Doodads, Destructables, and Upgrades.
Try to reduce your trigger amounts by
Delete all disabled trigers.
Try rewriting some triggers in a more effecant. way.
Chains of actions that you uses alot make a seprate triger for and tell it to run that triger when you want that chain of actions to run.
use vexorian's map optimiser. It's in the tools section.
Reduced my map by 28% !!!
It works really well, it removes everything the game doesn't need, but after optimising it, it will no be able to open in the editor. (it removes files that only the editors use.) But still, very efficient.

actually sometimes it can be up to 50% off, mattering on your triggering, the way you made the map, also if you used things like WEU, it might really reduce size a whole lot... but it is a great system, but don't just check off everything, read the readme, some checks will barely increase the size to allow things like a map preview it is also a great protector
