1. Balanced heros/units/items.

2. Funny and fast gameplay (Some TD's has like 5 minute waiting time between rounds. Its very
booring and annoying.)

3. Lots of variability (Map with only 1 hero or so wont be good. Who wants to play a game that's
always the same?)

I like games that are easy at start, but then they'll get harder and harder during
the game.

Flexibility. The ability to make your own choices and not to be told by some shit storyline what to do.

I generally play strategy(builder).I expect a diverse techtree and simple to understand unique features (Rival Dynasties anyone?)

This is what I want from a map when I'm playing it:
  • Good Description.
  • Good Terrain.
  • Leakless & Bug Free.
  • Fun & Good Replay-ability.
  • Minimal lag.
  • Nice variety in game-play settings.

You can't ask this question without saying what kind of map, cause what make a good RPG is not the same thing that make a good Hero arena.

i can say, one thing i dont like, is playing a map for the first time and being completely lost with no direction, the map shouldnt overwhelm right at the begining, (like some RPG's do)
objectives and roles should be simple enough to understand without having to play it 5 times before you get a general idea of what your supposed to be doing

The specifics would really depend of the map type, but the map has ta be FUN, that is why people play WAR III, right?

I need maps to be paced just right (fast), sophisticated (has a learning curve), varied whenever you play and skill-dependant (to own everyone).

Just say NO to green TD and embrace whatever grinds the brain.
