at first i thought it was just a weird jokelist but somebody told me he knew one of laws. do they actually exist?! :shock: if they do id like to know the context...

America doesn't make laws with a Death Penalty! In order to recieve that you would have to murder someone, and be found guilty. It is still up to the Judge of the criminal to choose a death penalty or a life/time in prison.

The illegal riding bikes in swimming pools is actually a state law, they mean empty public swimming pools. It could be easily misunderstood however.

And the Carousel and Domino thing on sunday? Is complete bullshlt. If anyone would have a law on Sunday it would be the Jewish people.
And incase you didnt know, America doesn't make laws for religion. It's a free Country because you wont ever be judged by race or religion.

I LIKE AMERICA! its just that i was just surprised when i read this... coz some of them seem to be true. i guess its just out of context and the laws are very old and they just forgot to remove them or something. well i now know that the bicyclingthingie was ment to applied on EMPTY swimmin-pools. context #1 clear now... :roll:

Seriusly, theres two very different things in a country, governement and people. Afro, if you hate french's governement, I agree with you and I hate it too. We actully have problems with it and its f**king stupids laws about everything.

Most of those laws are true. Of course some of them have already been removed, but few of them still exist. I guess most of them appeared because of misunderstandings or weird accidents that forced the laws to be added. Maybe some of them because the local government was filled up with idiots, who knows. There're also some funny laws in germany, that's why I believe most of these weird laws are true. Never underestimate the stupidity of people.

One of the wierder laws I've known:

Outside US: Mandatory Death sentance for defacing a religious book. (Any Islamic country)

Impatancy is a sueable offense. (Italy)

In US: its illegal to stare at baffalo (or some other large herd animal) from inside an airplane flying over Alaska.

SOme of those laws mentioned in the first post are BS. For example, police are allowed to shoot someone to prevent them from jumping off a building (in short= death: yes. Chargable with the death penatly if arrested: no)

Try not to harp on the 'ol USA....we're really not that bad once you get to know us. I know its kind of hard when we got people that thrallman here displaying stereotypical American ignorance towards everyhing and embarrassing the hell out of our name and everything we stand for...but hey...

But seeing how this topic is terning a bit....against the rules. I'll be locking it now.
