So I recently discovered that I actually have RAM problems when using Reforged.

Booty Bay only RAM Usage(test):

My RPG in World Editor RAM Usage:

RPG World Editor + Testing the Map In-Game:

It's pretty crazy that is uses all 16GB of my RAM, when the map is loading the usage even goes up to 96% and I suspect it frees RAM from the minimised WE to give to the game to run properly.

So I want to know your experience with your setups, particularly those with 32GB of RAM since I'm thinking of upgrading my RAM.

Reforged issue. Reforged graphics use a lot of memory so your system needs to be speced appropriately. If editing Reforged I would recommend 32 GB or even 64 GB of memory if you want to have model editors and art programs open in the background as well. The main issue is VRAM due to how massive the Reforged assets are, which is likely where a lot of the memory is going, to hold VRAM data that has to be paged out from the GPU into main memory. When WE and WC3 are both open in Reforged mode then the memory and VRAM used for assets is pretty much doubled, and typical consumer GPUs are not really designed to handle this.

Of course using classic graphics reduces memory usage a lot. 16 GB should be more than enough for both editing and testing classic graphics.

@Dr Super Good thanks for the help! Model Editing and Art Programs are not something I do.
I'm actually quite stupid for forgetting to also check the VRAM, upon further testing I noticed something Interesting:

Launching the Map with WE Open: RAM 13.6GB, VRAM 3.6GB

After moving around camera and viewing the whole map: RAM 11.7GB, VRAM 5.7GB

So it's like you said, the main issue is VRAM, I should have went with the RX580 8GB when I did my budget upgrade :xxd:

oh well, I'll upgrade to 32GB RAM for now and later down the road RTX3060 12GB :grin:
