1. The CD is scratched or dirty.

2. The files are corrupted some how, possibly by the disc being scratched OR if its a fake/burned CD.

If all else fails, try the following:

Put the disc in, exit the auto start menu.

Go to My Computer, and right click on the Disc drive, and press "Explore".

Press Cntrl+A and copy everything. Then move it and paste it somewhere on your computer (Make a folder and put it there)

This might take about 30 minutes...

Now go to the folder after its done copying and press Install. Make sure the CD is in also. See if it works.

Alchohole would damage any solvents on the disc, especially home made ones. Offical ones should be unaffected, afteral this is alchole not magic acid. Water should do the trick, maybe with special soap to remove any grease (not too strong and not solid soap). Make sure if you use soap you carefully wash all of it off and do not use much (only enough to remove any grease), Dry with a fine cloth or tissue to avoid damaging further.
