Harper, don't you remember? Darky's in WoW.

And I don't think he actually created the site. Nor could he edit it. As for that, they're like rabie dogs in a pit (not that I should be angry at them.)

ok he did not created that site but I think he had contributed to it. He could edit it as long as you are a site-admin who can have access to the administration control pannel. check this link http://www.wc3campaigns.com//showgroups.php?

Ehem... read my first sentence on the second post. I hope that gives reason why the site's corrupt.

I think I'm going to cause a mess here.

Your mess here will be justified because they talked shit about wc3sear there & afronight was bravely defending wc3sear. Since I am just a new member there so I am powerless & I can do nothing. :( :( :(

I think all of us should go panty raid wc3campaigns; throw tomatoes and stuff.

Trust me, that doesn't work especially when RightField is on. He always go "I'm always right" or "Read my post you b!***."

For that, RightField should burn!!! Bwahahahahahaah.

Wow.

It took me 15 minutes to stop laughing at that thread.
Its absolutely pathetic. Some of the things said in that are just funnily untrue. Its amazing how something so small and insignificant can be totally blown out of proportion just by a few people.

I laugh at those who take that thread seriously.

I think after we get this darky sh*t sorted out, we should let those two come back. It'll be fun banning them over and over again, probably even more than 'Find the Wormskull Account'...
Yah, that sure sounds like fun.......No.

@Sansui: Thanks. I still wasn't quite sure if anyone liked me anymore after that^^ :D

Hey, it was a valid comment....what he posted was retarded.

Don't be so sensitive

EDIT: Hardly a pwn by the way....but whatever helps you sleep at night man.
Oh and nice attempt at the negative reputation point, not like anyone actually gives a flying f*ck about those. It was neutral by the way...so it didn't do anything anyway. Nice Job!!!

I'm not trying to give RightField a bad rep. I'm telling him that he's not always right. It's not like I care about their rep system.

Ever since RightField left the site, I've been a bit nervous about how War3Campaigns would probably be seperated. But still my question wasn't answered. Why are we still partnered with them?

@Afro: I wasn't referring to you, and thanks for trying.

@Daveman: First of all, what you did was not very funny. It generally sounded pretty unintelligent, and by doing so all you're doing is proving them right.

EDIT: Oh, and back to the topic, the 'partnership' has absolutely nothing to do with the few users that posted on that forums. It was an admin decision that really didn't involve user input whatsoever.

its all very well saying that most regular members of wc3c are arseholes. and that i dont dispute. however;

average wc3c member = arsehole

average war3search member = unskilled arsehole = noob

you may not like the amount of "flameing" (i use the term loosely, as most people at wc3c have the intelect to troll, rather than flame. unlike the current ambasadors from war3search)

but if you choose to take that as as hostile environment, then thats your choise. but at wc3c (particlarly in OT, where this is being dicussed) most people simply arnt that bothered by a bit of imagainative trolling and/or flameing. it makes arguments a little more interesting

also, the supposed amount of flameing that goes on, is almost compleatly restricted to off topic. so all those arguments about people spending more time argueing rather than modding, are compleatly void of reason. its the off topic forum. its where dicussions like that are supposed to be posted. take a look at the other forums (particluarly the terrain forum [/random plug]). theres is a lot of discussion of wc3, and plent of people willing to help, or awnser questions

Mecheon hit the nail on the head with "They hate us
We hate them"

but then, what else is to be expected, when this site is mostly devoted to custom recourses. its bound to attract more noobs and leachers who think that single person projects have a decent chance of surviveing.

overall, i think the link between wc3c and war3search was a very clever move by draco (of whoever implimented it). we were sick of all the noobs posting requests in the wrong forums, and thinking that modding can be mastered in a day. now, they all see the "files" link, and go looking for skins, modles and such like. thus transfering the pestilant noob plauge to here, where we dont have to bother with them.

think of this site as a pest removeal servace

So you're saying wc3sear.ch is wc3campaign's answer for getting rid of noobs?

/sarcasm on

That makes me like wc3c even more.

/sarcasm off

What makes you think we like people posting in the wrong forums and doing stupid stuff like that?

Some of the best projects out there were made by only one person. Less time with people conflicting with eachother over how stuff gets done leads to quicker progress, I've found.

If thats how you think of your new members, then we are obliged to be of service to keep people out of there. Since with that mentality I hightly doubt they are getting any decent advice or help from those who dwell at that site. If you all don't want to be responsible for help in developing the skill of inexperienced resourse makers, so they'll no longer be "noobs," then fine, let it be us instead. Everyone starts off inexperienced. Everybody who can model, skin, ect learned it from somewhere. If not there, might as well be here.

my intention was not to make anyone here like wc3c anymore, i mearly pointed out how i saw the situation. i coudlnt care less if you like wc3c any more or less due to my posts

i did not say that all single person projects were doomed to failure. simpley that they are more likely to fail. with a single person project the chaces of all the work being done by someone who will not even finish a fraction of the required work, before they get tired of wc3, is very low (take a look at the campaign gethering forum on wc3c (or whatever the equivilent is here) and youll see that there are a lot of projects made by single people, that get some progress, but very rarely see compleation

with a team project, there is a greater chance of haveing at least one commited member who will retain interest in wc3 for long enough to give more chance of the projct being released

i did not say all newer members, i said noobs. there is a distinct differance. there are newer members who are willing to accept that they are not gods of modding after a few days playing around with WE. who dont expect modelers and skinners to jump to attention at their every whim, who accept that it is usualy besat to read stickes and forum anoucements before makeing their first thread. and who at least skim over the FAQ. the wc3c community has no problem with these people, and are often very willing to offer them a helping hand when they can (in some cased there are even anit-noobs, who, even though new to wc3, are helpful, polite, and consider that people have their own projects or pieces of work to spend their time on). what the community dosnt apreicate are those who fail to realise that there are countless other individuals in the same situation they are, thus expecting everyone will want to do all their work for them, while they sit back and mearly direct how their project shall procede

as i said before, the wc3c community is perfectly happy to help new members (i know this from personal experiance, when i joined wc3c, there were plenty of terrainers to help me, and give me advice. there is even a continueing trend for terrainers to have one or two people who they regularly help, and in some ways, teach). but if people want help, they have to be willing to accept that very few people will have the time to help them, if it requires detailed explantion. or do their work for them. noobs are those who are unwilling to learn, but expect others to work on skins/models/terrain/triggers for them, while they direct everyone elses actions, without being experianced in any field of modding

Gitlich i thought you always a god at terrain?

anyhow. whats the point in helping a noob, they do not want to learn.

sometimes its nice to flame a noob because they deserve it like the people who come here and post threads like i want to know how to skin, or tell me how to skin a model. or how do i make a skin 3d. or people who do post their skins and refuse to take any advice.

But there is alot of noobs in both places, just the nobs here are louder and more annoying but the people at wc3c can infact be bigger assholes, yes yes they can be. not to mention I am from wc3c.

and sometime speak of love and pie, and beef.

funny to think that some of the people here have never been to wc3c.
