So you're saying wc3sear.ch is wc3campaign's answer for getting rid of noobs?
/sarcasm on
That makes me like wc3c even more.
/sarcasm off
What makes you think we like people posting in the wrong forums and doing stupid stuff like that?
my intention was not to make anyone here like wc3c anymore, i mearly pointed out how i saw the situation. i coudlnt care less if you like wc3c any more or less due to my posts

Some of the best projects out there were made by only one person. Less time with people conflicting with eachother over how stuff gets done leads to quicker progress, I've found.
i did not say that all single person projects were doomed to failure. simpley that they are more likely to fail. with a single person project the chaces of all the work being done by someone who will not even finish a fraction of the required work, before they get tired of wc3, is very low (take a look at the campaign gethering forum on wc3c (or whatever the equivilent is here) and youll see that there are a lot of projects made by single people, that get some progress, but very rarely see compleation
with a team project, there is a greater chance of haveing at least one commited member who will retain interest in wc3 for long enough to give more chance of the projct being released

If thats how you think of your new members, then we are obliged to be of service to keep people out of there. Since with that mentality I hightly doubt they are getting any decent advice or help from those who dwell at that site.
i did not say all newer members, i said noobs. there is a distinct differance. there are newer members who are willing to accept that they are not gods of modding after a few days playing around with WE. who dont expect modelers and skinners to jump to attention at their every whim, who accept that it is usualy besat to read stickes and forum anoucements before makeing their first thread. and who at least skim over the FAQ. the wc3c community has no problem with these people, and are often very willing to offer them a helping hand when they can (in some cased there are even anit-noobs, who, even though new to wc3, are helpful, polite, and consider that people have their own projects or pieces of work to spend their time on). what the community dosnt apreicate are those who fail to realise that there are countless other individuals in the same situation they are, thus expecting everyone will want to do all their work for them, while they sit back and mearly direct how their project shall procede

If you all don't want to be responsible for help in developing the skill of inexperienced resourse makers, so they'll no longer be "noobs," then fine, let it be us instead. Everyone starts off inexperienced. Everybody who can model, skin, ect learned it from somewhere. If not there, might as well be here.
as i said before, the wc3c community is perfectly happy to help new members (i know this from personal experiance, when i joined wc3c, there were plenty of terrainers to help me, and give me advice. there is even a continueing trend for terrainers to have one or two people who they regularly help, and in some ways, teach). but if people want help, they have to be willing to accept that very few people will have the time to help them, if it requires detailed explantion. or do their work for them. noobs are those who are unwilling to learn, but expect others to work on skins/models/terrain/triggers for them, while they direct everyone elses actions, without being experianced in any field of modding
