Well this sounds like a great idea. The map transitioning is probably going to be a pain in the ass though. I've tried it myself, and it takes saving a ton of variables to make the transition flow smoothly without leaving any loose ends. Will you be having a different map for each landmark location (such as towns, battlefields, etc.)?

I'm glad you're scaling buildings proportionately. It's been getting kind of annoying seeing so many campaign-style maps where heroes are almost as big as an entire castle.

Lol, I got a similar map
I can help you with terrains, triggers, object editing, making quests
I'll gladly take you on as a terrainer, quest maker and triggerer.

Thanks for the support!

Awesome, there's never enough of singleplayer rpg campaigns!
Please, finish this! You have my full support!

Also, will any characters join you?
Thanks, man.

I'm still in the early stages of development but I might consider having Thol'han do certain quests and missions with characters.
(Something like Thol'han and Nazgrel capturing harpies together etc.)

Most likely. Orgrimmar, Sen'jin Village and Razor Hill have their own maps, Durotar is divided into north and south and the crossroads will be in the Barrens map.
And not only am I scaling buildings, I've made several custom pathing maps for each so I don't have to waste my time with pathing blockers.

Hey, TheFairfield! I'll be glad to help you with the Story Concept, Triggering, Terraining, A few custom spells, and some more quests. Oh, and don't double-post, let alone triple-post. Use the Edit button next to Quote instead of posting again, it's against the site rules.

If you want to see some examples of my maps, I recommend you play my best one.

Rentau's Voyage, the right-most picture on my signature.

Thanks for joining! I can put you on as a terrainer, triggerer and quest maker.
And I'd be glad if you helped me with the story.
Thanks again, TheFairfield.

P.S Yeah, I forgot about that.

Looking good so far, but Orgrimmar needs some doodad/decoration makeup. And have you thought of using the raise/lower tool instead of Blizzard cliffs? You did a good job using Blizzard cliffs, but the raise/lower tools offers so much more variety and epicness for the terrain. It's doesn't take too much longer than using Blizzard cliffs either.
Example (Blizzard Cliffs vs. Raise/Lower Tool)

Can you even open TFoD?

Thanks to a nice little program called WinMPQ, I am able to export any file I want from the WarCraft III MPQ archives.

So, yes, I can.

There has actually been some considerable work done on Orgrimmar since these screenshots were taken, so there's more in the updated version.

Since the terrain for Orgrimmar is almost completed (Indomitable1319 has some things to work on), I probably won't bother about it with Orgrimmar, but I will definitely consider using the raise tools for the mesas of Mulgore.

Your map looks pretty neat, along with a nice looking screenshot of Orgrimmar(:
Erm... I hope you wouldn't mind but, could I help out too if there's a spot for Grammar Checkers or Beta Testers please?
For now, all the best for your map! +Rep for effort(:

Ah, sounds good  And Mulgore does seem like it needs much smoother hills than Orgrimmar ever would, so I'm looking forward to seeing that.

Excellent to have you on the team, Crave. I'll send you a copy of the campaign soon.

I didnt think soon would be 1 day+ later, since soon cant refer to a period of time... wait, maybe I should carry the 1 instead of dividing by TheFairfield's face... OMG! THE SQUARE ROOT OF SOON, IS NEVER.

Sorry, Crave. If you give me your email address I'll send you a copy ASAP.

Dude I like this campaing map or whatever is it but one thing pls make orgrimmar more wowish I have a map of orgrimmar alost like wow if you want to check it out
I knew someone would pick up on that.

See, at the time I started work on the Orgrimmar map, I had never actually played WoW (which I have now), and so didn't know much about what the city actually looked like. And by the time I got WoW, I had almost finished the terrain, and had placed several triggers, units, doodads, etc, and I didn't want to restart the whole map again. But, if I get time, maybe I'll consider creating a new Orgrimmar, that looks much more like the one in WoW.
And yes, I'd love to look at your map of Orgrimmar.

TheFairfield

It's not flat anymore. Orgrimmar is carved into a moutain range, and we all know that harsh terrain of Kalimdor. It doesn't automatically mean that we can't use cliffs in every map, though. It wouldn't seem realistic if it had no cliffs.

@TF (TheFairfield) - Hey, do I work on the version I have now, or will you send me a new one?
Which version do you have now?
