Heya.
Ive started making this game, slowly, that is based on Warhammer Fantasy. The map style will be a DAoW (Dark Ages of Warcraft) / Azeroth Wars style.
I am using the tabletop rules, represented in mathematical figures and
random number generators.
I have currently made the terrain and 'Empire' team. (still working a few
spells). For those people who are interested I am going to post my system below:
Stats
1 Movement = 30 movespeed
1 Weapon Skill = (4xweapon skill)+1% chance to dodge an attack.
1 Ballistic Skill = 300 projectile speed (Would like some ideas)
1 Strength = 2 Damage
1 Toughness = 2 Hitpoints
1 Wound = 1 Hitpoint multiplier (eg: 3 toughness, 2 wounds = 12hp)
1 Attack = 1 attack per 5 seconds.
1 Initiative = 0.73 swing animation with each additional initiative reducing this number by 0.07.
1 Leadership = 50 mana, and 0.5 mana pre second regeneration. (Mana is morale)
Abilities/Other (Equipment etc...)
Armor Saves = 6+ armor save = 1 damage reduction, 5+ armor save = 2 damage reduction etc... (I am thinking of changing this to 1.5 dmg reduction or even 2 for balancing)
Point Cost = 1 gold cost for every point cost. A modifier of 1.5x gold cost for special units, and 2x gold cost for rare units and heroes has been made.
Spell Cooldown = 6.125 * Spell Power
Spell Duration = 12.5*number of turns in seconds.
Stubborn = 100% morale regen.
Cold Blooded = 50% morale regen.
Hatred = I dont know....I have yet to find somthing that will simplify this problem.
Skirmishers = 16.6% ranged damage reduction.
Large Targets = 16.6% ranged damage amplification.
Multiple Shots = -1 BS with extra shots.
Move & Shoot = +1 BS.
Other abilities will be added as they go/interest builds.
Please comment on the system (if you know the warhammer rules, or are good at maths
), I have already changed it a few times.
I am still testing fear, it seems to be OK atm, but I will post that once I am satisfied with the results.
Lore/"Fluff"
Story: As per warhammer lore, although a bit sketchy, I will try to be as close to lore as humanly possible.
Map/Terrain: I am using a black and white basic map as my guide, I have comleted all the basic terrain, just have hours apon hours of doodadding to go

-A mounted model WITH a gun!
-Help with replacing abilities AoE then giving them back (trigger spell, more details on my post
