They're going to be the Red Shirt NPC guards that you always find littered around dungeons or battlefields..

Nah, they'll just have to use epic-level lasguns and Kasrkin armor.
And storm, the Apothecaries will be healer class.

Err, I hope you understand he was kidding, and that Apothecaries are a DUH.
But really, Guardsmen will be red-shirt NPCs, like mass-issue soldiers in RPs like DA or something.
