The scripting isn't going to be that hard, just a lot of it, :grin:

As mentioned^ I cannot do JASS, I have read a few tutorials, and messed with it a few times, but I didn't feel like putting in the 100% effort and really learning it yet. If anyone would like to help, right now I am doing it with all GUI, and then going to look for someone to convert it later, and polish it up. If that is bad, and it is MUCH easier to just start the from the start with JASS and you want to work on this, then just ask.


The heroes are just kind of a blah thing, the names/models are just pretty much whatever. I just put 5 horde heroes and 5 alliance heroes next to eachother, kinda lined them up roughly evenly, and made them into pairs. They are VERY flexible, but the types are not. So any suggestions would be good, but that kind of thing is coming later. Fun is going to be first priority, and if heroes line up with spells is not really in that category!

Description : The huntress uses she's arcane knowlegde, and with the hunter skills creates a arrow that strikes the enemy for direct X damage.

Skill 2 : Trap of the Unseen
TYPE : Debuff
Description : The huntress places a trap on the targeted location. Then she uses arcane magic to make the trap invisible. Any unit who passes threw it will be traped for X seconds. AoE : X

Skill 3 : Persist of Might and Magic
TYPE : Aura
Description : Using the knowlegde of hunter might and magic gathered threw the years, the huntress has becomed more experieced. Reduced X % spell damage and X % attack damage done on she.

Skill 4 (Ultimate) : Arrows of Fire and Ice
TYPE : Attack bonus damage
Description : The huntress uses the magic to enchant the arrows. It shots 1 arrow infused with the power of fire that deals X direct damage and X damage over X seconds, and the power of ice slowing the target's attack and movement speed by X%


The "X" is for you to put the numbers. Hopefully you like my idea. GL with your map.

That is a very cool idea, but a little too complicated :xxd:.


The current stats are somewhat as follows:
Heroes have:
80-120 health
80-120 mana
high mana regen, and VERY little health regen
they deal roughly 10 damage per hit with an attack speed of 1.15 time between attacks.
right now no heroes have any armor to speak about


Spells cost a great deal of mana, example: the paladin's heal spell heals by 35, for 35 mana, when he only has 100 health and mana, that is a big deal.


Right now the heroes only have 2 spells each, pally has heal + stun, archmage has chain lightning and blizzard, for example, to keep them simple, but still effective. The goal is NOT to have a bunch of spells that have crazy synergy, and massive multi hero combos, but to have short, fast gameplay that can be picked up, and played with players that don't have crazy mad skillz.


The heroes also, this might be changed,but don't level. They are just regular units that have the models/stuff of the hero units. This is again, to keep the game focused on speed, not farming up levels.

Obviously this is all subject to change, but this is the initial idea.

Think like counter strike, with a small map, that is like the pace/speed that I would like it to be in the end. Few options, fast gameplay, on your toes, focusing on DOING things, not farming/hiding/waiting. Rounds will have timers, thinking of about 5 minutes max per round, maybe even 3 minutes, or even like 1-2 minutes. Fast rounds, simple, short and sweet heroes.

Spell 2 : Backstab - backstabs the target, dealing X damage. Must be behind the target. (can be casted even while stealth)

That is closer, yes, :thumbs_up:

Here are two:

Paladin:
100 Hp
100 Mp
10 damage, 1.25 attack speed
300 move speed
spells:
Heal: 25 health for 25 mana
Stop: 30 damage, 1 second stun for 40 mana

Archmage:
80 Hp
120 Mp
10 damage, 1.5 attack speed, 500 range
320 move speed
spells:
Chain Lightning: 15 damage, 5 targets, 35 mana
Blizzard: 20 damage, 5 waves, 200 AoE, 45 mana

Maybe that will give you a good idea, :gg:

I assume that by suggesting heroes that it means that the idea is solid, :smile:


Am still working on it, getting ready for college and shit, so I am swamped right now, but my friend and I are still working on it, :thumbs_up:

The ideas are quite welcome!


And again, fairly soon it will be able to be played with all 5v5, so will need testers that can agree to be on at the same time, and agree to give helpful feedback!

Just ask if you want me send you the current version, I will always do that! Just don't keep it and modify it, play it and delete it please, I don't want to have to start protecting them yet...

So, spending a few days away from the internet, my laptop broke, :thumbs_down: (tis an alienware, QUITE upset)

Will work on it on my desktop, but that is old and doesn't have internet, ha, yea, go figure, :eekani:, so progress will be made, BUT, will not be posted until monday.

Any more suggestions/ideas you have will be appreciated! Thank you for the current ones.

Alright, HUGE progress has been made, and the direction has been changed, slightly.

Not to much, just slightly!!!


It is not really playable yet, but it will be soon, I know it looks like crap that no map is posted, but I promise you it WILL be worth it.


Ok, so, think of it this way: An arena type map, with quick, fast, snappy gameplay somewhat reminiscent of Super Smash Bros. mixed with, say, Counterstrike. Short, fast, quick gameplay with diverse yet simple heroes, in simple yet challenging maps!

This is REALLY being worked on, and it will be available to test out soon...

My laptop is still broken, :cry:, but progress is still being made, just slower, and only when I visit a friend's house.


So, it IS being worked on, any ideas are still welcome!

Think super smash brothers, simple, but unique heroes. Any map ideas will also be considered!

Again, I know this is really sketchy and bleh cuz there is no map attached yet, but it will be soon! :thumbs_up:

Added new version, much smaller this time!!!

Trying to get more feedback, quite a few views, but no comments, somewhat depressing.
The alpha is closer to being playable, kinda, am working on it.

Do to lack of any response about that map, I am discontinuing the public announcements stuff.


So if you want to see it, just ask me, but from here on out I am just going to make it to myself, and only to friends. It might make it to the finished map section when it is complete, but until then, again due to lack of it being interesting to the public, I am stopping updating this.

Sorry to anyone that was following it.

Again, if you were interested, just PM me, I can send you what I have.

It will be worked on, just not as publicly talked about, so any mods could close this if they wanted to, if no one says "don't stop updating"
