Features and Extra Information

Save codes are written to a text file at the end of each map under "My Documents/Warcraft III/CustomMapData".
You can copy and paste this into the next map. Maps with multiple heroes will require a code for each.

On maps where groups are split up, you can control both groups at once
(e.g. Tyrande and Furion when they go their separate ways on Night Elf level 5).

Hard difficulty by default, AI is updated to Hard levels and triggers are set to Hard settings.

To lower the difficulty type -easy or -normal to handicap the enemy (40% and 70% respectively)

----- Prologue Campaign -----
The Warcraft 3 Demo Maps/Prologue campaign is included with all the Original Audio restored.

----- Reign of Chaos -----
In the Reign of Chaos campaigns all units have the correct stats.
Gyrocopters, Steam Tanks, Catapults and Ballista replace their TFT equivalent.
90 Food Cap

----- The Frozen Throne -----
Players can build shipyards on certain TFT missions that had goblin shipyards.

Hi Kilmaat, we finally beat the blood elf campaign. 4 Bugs we came across, but even with them it was a ton of fun! On "gates of the abyss", the second player does not get vision of the green draenei forces (still allied though) Also on that...

Considering the fact that @Kilmaat's previous campaign modification is based on the same working system and also including @tulee's comments, I see no reason for this not to be approved.
how do i install this download to my game since when i downloaded it it came as a rar file

You have to extract the .rar file. Just right click on it and then click on either "Extract files..." (if you want to specify the path of extracting) or "Extract Here". After that, you have the campaign extracted.

Put the extracted file into the Campaign folder in your WC3 directory. And play the campaign from the Single Player >> Custom Campaign menu in WC3 Frozen Throne.

Now I tried to load 1 of the maps from war3 fc and it just froze the game entirely. I do have the 1.29 patch update installed. So what's wrong now. Can anyone say

My son (who plays ROC) noticed today when we were doing the Prologue that the Murlocs are using TFT models instead of the ROC models.
That probably means the Murlocs all throughout ROC campaigns probably has this too.
Just a thought in case you wanted to go back and fix this.

Hey, this is a cool idea though it will make it unbalanced so I'll just send you a modified version of the map :)

I didn't notice that about the Murlocs, damn!, I wonder what other creeps had alternate models.

edit: have you already completed Prologue 05?

Hello, I'm new here :) I would like to say a huge thank you for this project because it made campaigns much more fun to play than they already are! I would like to give my small contribution to it, by reporting that there are two minor things to fix as for the RoC campaign : the first one is that Human mages (Priests and Sorceresses) use their Blood Elf skin, while during the RoC events they should look like High Elves, and the second thing I found out is that during the Missions 3-4-5 of the Undead RoC campaign the High Elven Troops share the same exact stats of the Blood Elven ones. Basically, High Elven Archers and Swordsmen should have different stats as for hp,damage and armor in additon to a very short cooldown (I remember that in RoC they attacked with no delay at all). Also, they should be named "High Elven Archer" and "High Elven Swordsman" instead of "Archer" and "Swordsman".
I hope this helps at least a little this wonderful project, which helped me to introduce some really dear people of mine to Warcraft III and make them fond of it ! :)

Another quick report :)
1. in the RoC campaigns, Abominations didn't have Cannibalize and Meat Wagons couldn't use Exhume corpses (that's a TFT tech).

2.In the RoC campaigns Kel'Thuzad and the other Liches are using their TFT model. Since Blizzard switched to CASC, simply selecting "reign of chaos" as the model version of choice doesn't fix the Lich's texture. Here's a quick way to fix this:
- extract the original RoC's lich texture from war3.mpq/textures/herolich.blp , import it in the maps and change its path to textures/herolich-0.blp
- change the Lich's model version used to Reign of Chaos

3. Also, Kel'Thuzad is using the TFT's lich icon, while he should use the RoC's one (in the editor, change his icon path to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNHeroLich.blp

for reference: here's where Liches make their appearance :)
- RoC Human 5 (Green and Purple liches attacking Hearthglen)
- RoC Human 7 (Green Lich in the Scourge's base)
- RoC Undead 5 (end cinematic, where Kel'Thuzad is resurrected)
- RoC Undead 6 (Kel'Thuzad)
- RoC Undead 7 (Kel'Thuzad)
- RoC Undead 8 (Kel'Thuzad)
- RoC Night Elf 7 (Rage Winterchill)

EDIT: I forgot another gameplay issue . in RoC Undead 8 , Kel'Thuzad is directly spawned as a Level 7 hero, while he should be loaded from your previous savefile imo . I noticed that because during Missions 6 and 7 we tried to boost his HP as much as possible due to the need to keep him alive in Mission 8, but then we found out the books we gathered in Mission 6 were wasted :p

Keep up the good work! I will keep playtesting. we're doing all of the RoC Campaigns now, and finished with the Undead. Time to play as the Horde now! :)

I opened the maps in single player just to look at them, no problem. Hosted a game over LAN and as soon as the other player joins we are both booted from the lobby. Is this only meant for B.net play or am I missing something?

First human map AChuman01. Didn't have internet for a week so did not get around to trying Bnet but can give that a try tomorrow. We are both on the latest patch. I tried one other map as well, just selected at random and it did the same thing. I will try Battlenet tomorrow and if that does not work I will re-download the maps, and maybe have the other computer host. Didn't know if there was a known issue or just a fluke on my end.

Edit: B.net didn't work either so I removed, downloaded fresh and placed the maps in the folder and now it works. Computers.. *shrugs*

Are you referring to passwords? The password is too long to combine if 4 heroes are saved, with the current amount of data saved per hero.

im talking about putting the map into folder one mission by one since its seperated also yea the password is freakin long is der anyway to find it inside the game folder ?

Hello! not sure if the thread still alive, but I had a blast with your campaign with a friend and wanted to point out some buggs to solve.

In human 06 I was unable to achieve the rat in the zoo secret, the creature doesn't react to clicking and dodges every shot.

In Orc 02 you don't get code for cairne if you wanna give him items.

In Orc 03 you get broken load code for thrall.

In Orc 05 you can build troll berserker upgrade which will make trolls unbuildable, as well as you will have issues of using shamans on this mission, their spellist is broken, fel shaman seems fine.

In nightelf 02 you can't get secret hydra, because nightelf catapults can't destroy trees, neither can you use secondary path to the main base. It seems to be a recurring bug in nightelf archon campaign in general, nightelf catapults can't destroy trees for some reason.

In nightelf 06 Illidan looses all items post metamorphosis and doesn't seem to even have an inventory.

In nightelf x04 you have no second player option, even map description here on hiveworkshop says Players:1, had to manually force another player with map editor for my playtest playthrough, it seemed like I couldn't destroy creep with dodge item again like in human 06.

In nightelf x06 you get broken load code for Tyrande.

In human x05 portal timer never hides itself, clutters screen with every next portal, second player has no food data, and no menu for resources, perhaps portal timer overwrites it?

In undead x02 player 12 has no controll, the reason is likely, due to 2 players beeing defined as allies, before they are told to be treated as neutralls, which should be vise versa, moving 2 lines in trigger that defines initialisation of players allied to each other after players are defined to treat each other as neutral solved the issue for me.

In undead x04 player clans were mixed and player 12( I think?) was defined as ally to kael forces, after moving player to another clan, once I load code from previous chapter the black screen never fades, unless player presses escape, after that it works fine and items are still loaded, however there is still an issue that AI is frozen and doesn't attack player after player establishes a base.

Wanted to say I really appreciate the archon campaign and glad that it exists, hopefully these buggs can be looked into!

I haven't finished the campaign yet ( I'm on undead x04, trying to fix undead ai on my own to no avail ).

Will update any gamebreaking buggs if I meet them in the following maps.


UPD1 undead x04 had a trigger that disabled AI start on townhall built, not sure why, also undead x04 has no food cost for ships

UPD2 For some weird reason if I play Undead x04 alone it works fine and Naga along with bloodelves attack your base, but if I play in archon mode, AI is frozen, either "start AI after town hall built" doesn't get launched, or something prevents AI to be set to (0,0) for melee, weird, still didn't manage to figure it out how to solve it. Currently at Undead x06 so far so good

Hey, thanks for the bug reports I'll have to have a look into these when I get some time.

In human 06 if I'm not mistaken, you need to kill the rat with a mortar team/aoe attack.

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh gotcha, ha silly me.
Anytime, I'll look into more bugs further on, your archon campaign is really amasing.

Would be more than happy to play this again with all the buggs ironed out!

Wait a second, can't you kill creeps by clicking them 1000 times like starcraft and warcraft 2?

Also in general I'd like more codes made available for characters, like cairne, when I can give him items before I actually get to control him, similar to how you have to escort Kael forces in frozen throne campaign, you can give items to kael, but they will not save ( fun fact, in campaign if you give items from furion to illidan, they transfer to human X06 (I think? the one where illidan has to close 4 portals and you get attacked by fel orcs ) and ya can cheese it a little by giving illidan maeve's cheesy and insane shadow orb of +10 and + 3 armor ( +4? can't remember ).

Also juuuuuuuuuuuust in case you have time, I know that 2p campaign where you have 2 bases tried to merge interludes with maps, if it's possible it would be great that I wouldn't have to switch around to single player.

UPD1 Also another issue for me is for some reason music only plays once and then goes silent, why is that?

UPD2 The rest seems kind of fine, though in Undead x07a you can often use catapult through walls or mortar teams can shoot you from them, especially where you first hug boss room from right, where a lot of barrels are, you can get shot there from up top, make invisible walls maybe? Idk

I am having trouble starting this as my game cannot 'see' any map whatsoever - they don't show up in the Maps folder when I go to load them in-game. I tried renaming folders and maps or changing the location of the folder, but nothing seems to work. I have TFT v1.27
Please someone help! My friend and I really want to play this.

I think the issue may be that the maps are in too many subfolders, I have had an issue with this before. Try putting the maps directly in Maps/Archon without the maps being in separate subfolders and see if that works.

thanks for the fast reply.

That was the first thing that I tried and it didn't work. I also tried putting them directly in Maps as well as Frozen Throne subfolder.

I don't know if this is related but I also tried opening them in World Editor and I got the error: level info data missing or invalid.


Btw I have the same issue with the 2P co op campaigns also available here on the Hive: all other factions' campaigns show normally after putting the maps directly in Maps/ without the maps being in separate subfolders, except for several Undead chapters. They also cannot be opened in World Editor just like the whole Archon campaign. It doesn't make sense to me.
