A project dreamed up by HappyCockroach, that I have agreed to direct.

An Eternity Shattered
In Progress.
The naive reality where the Warcraft trilogy would take place wasn't going to last forever. As the centuries passed, the races started evolving from their primitive state.

Human's contraptions started getting more complex, and with this objective they amplified their knowledge and science.
Orcs had to face strict dictatorships, enormous downfalls and intense revolutions on their horde system.
Night Elves rediscovered nature, seeing how many wonderful things could be done with its supplies.
Undeads found out that they didn't need corpses to raise their armies, but their tireless forces could come out of metal, much more deadly.

As the races established alliances, they developed and shared their science, giving birth to a new era, of thrive and stability.

In the other hand, the world's territority and resource pool started to become insufficient, and the war was unavoidable. Even with the races having reached other planets, the peace couldn't last any longer. The spent planet had a dry and cold soil, with a heavy, foggy atmosphere.

The Orcs, uprising and outraged, are eager to avenge the negligence they suffered during the technology flourish.
The Elves want to restore the planet's life and peace, opposing anyone to protect nature.

The seething masses of humanity see themselves as the last pure ones in the darkness of the universe. although driven from the remnants of Azeroth, their many planets and starbases serve as bastions of defense for this fallen race...

These brutal warriors feed on war like leeches. They will fight any enemy for glory and valor.

The Night Elves:

The ancient night elves didn't lose their passion for the nature. Their strenght rely on their natural resistance, agility and talent, gathering beasts and crafting engines that combine their magic with the nature's power.

Art: IIIIIIIIII

Specialty: The Night Elves can only build upon nature fields, since the dry soil itself isn't able to grow anything. On the nature fields, they regenerate faster and prevent enemies from building.




Whirlwind:
Advanced quick attacker.

Archdruid:
Elite caster.



Puma:
Quick moving hovertank with a powerful front mounted energy balista.

Warspider:
Advanced all terrain walker with two powerful repeating blaster.

Mole:
Transport that can go underground, being invulnerable. Spreads nature fields where it goes like a fertilizing worm. When coming out of the ground, damages structures. Constantly vulnerable against any explosive weapon.



Unnamed:
Lightning quick areial attacker, Elvish infantry can mount it.

Jungle Raptor:
Agile raptor with deadly claws. Regenerates extremely quickly. Elvish infantry can mount it.

Red Juggernaught:
Massive siege beast that carries elvish archers in baskets on its back. Can do a siege charge that causes massive damage.



Moonhawk:
Agile Attack ship with dual beam cannons.














The Undead:

The dire servants of the demon lords have evolved beyond relying on petty corpses. their dark technology spreads the seeds of death across the land.

Interesting idea, i would like to see humans with marines, and orcs with tauren marines. What would happen to the undead, will they turn out zergish, or go for a full mechanical body trying to terminate all biological life. I guess a hot NE archer with an explosive arrow packed next to her bow is pretty hot.

I don't get it The World is Flat... How can you work on 2..3...4? projects at the same time? Isn't it much better to just pick one and focus on that instead? I so far read 4 posts made by you about your projects but it really makes me wonder if it aren't just idea's and it makes me wonder alot of they're actually going to be made:p

The model idea's are awesome though.

I would love to see Armored Ancients as mechas for the Night Elves.
Make sure you don't just copy Warhammer 40K with races like Orcs and Humans, it isn't super easy but try to be original and stay as true as you can to Warcraft III.
Also, will magic still play a role in the game (I presume so), if so, how large?

EDIT: Just had a look at it... differs a lot from what I have in mind

hehehe, maybe, but i don't know if goblins will be a race yet. i thin kwe wanted to keep the m as creeps, but i'll talk to the roach about it.
The main races will be the 4 playable in warcraft, but we can restore the WC2 orcs, including ogres and goblins on the race, I think that this would be awesome. Humans should include dwarves and high elves, also. But high elves shouldn't care that much about nature, or they would change sides to NE.

Better one awesome project than 3, 4 failing ones.

I'm sure you'll do what you think is right, just don't drop wc4:sc2 lol, that one has most potential imo.

Ya i agree with Grey here. We should all focus on WC4: SC2 because that's what most of the people want. You can tell by how many made posts. Flat should put Warcraft 3000 and BTL: FOW on hold for now.

Hey TWIF, gave your techtree some rework, and renamed things as to be generic, so we know what exactly they are.

Research F. = Research Facility, like Evolution Chamber
P. = Production
Cavalry R. = building where players shall research the raptor/flying mounting. Do you think it should exist?
Druid Council = A building I thought about that can cast spells from big distance in units, buffing allies and etc. It would count as a requirement to convince creatures and produce beasts. Also, it can have Archdruid researches available.
Terrafortress = it's an upgrade from the mechoid building structure, right? should it train the mechoids? Or just carry them and move/attack, installing itself somewhere else desired?

I can do anything you need, 3ds max models (soon to be exported to sc2), dds texture editing, basic C++ knowledge :p
But the best things I do are drawing and terraining :D
Just tell me to draw something and ill do it quickly so u can see my skills :p

He is an expert in ranged attacks :p he has spears and arrows, and i also did another necklace, a leaf. just let me know what is wrong so i can fix it

Although proportions are a bit messed up, that works as a concept. (I do the same thing) Gets the idea through. Sentinel is a woman and looks different from this, but you're quite good with concept art.
I just wanted you to illustrate something more like a schematic creation, like aircraft, or anything like that, not just observation copy + changes.
Also, you should be willing to do this task.

What we'd really like you to do is SC2 coding, since you know some C++. Do you think you could give it a try, too?

I could help if ye want, I'm usually good with game stuff not modeling or triggers but unit idea, and I am at least half decent at drawing the concept-

I often have game ideas, the Sci-Fi universe i use for my game ideas does have elves, though they are high psychic not magic. But recently i have been combining my fantasy universe with my sci-fi one

Here is an example of a 'unit' I used:

Nova Class Mother Ship

HP: High (I used 1300)
(Energy) Shield: High (I used 1300)
(2nd Energy) Shield: Double first shield (I used 2600)

The second shield only protects the core, and keeps it sealed with argon gas, while pulling energy from it into the ship. If the second shield is destroyed the energy core, an orb of a super-charged plasma reacts with any element it can (not noble gasses) causing a massive explosion. To defeat this ship one had to capture it not kill it, as killing it resulted in a loss of one's fleet.

Along the side of the ship are 3 pods; they launch plasma missiles, 2 each
(I used: 20ish x 6 damage) and then the ship also has a massive beam weapon (I used 200ish damage).

In this game a human fighter had 20ish HP and around 5ish damage, this game was meant to have lots of fighters...

This is the Capital class ship of the Li'terren, one of my sci-fi races. At one point I had writen up data for a sci-fi real time strategy game with at least 8 races, unfortunately i lost the data when my computer died from dust poising. Is don't remember the exact stats because of this. I had written up some sort of time line to.

Sorry about that bro, your art is good, the texture treatment is adequate, but that was an observation drawing, and although you may do it well, it's not exactly what we want from you.
I'd like you to create this visual concept, and draw it:

The Mole/Earthworm (whichever your concept fits better) is the most inventive among the Night Elven machinery. It is meant to be an underground transport, capable of digging into the ground, slowly but smoothly, with a whole troop of passengers. Just as a worm would do, it fertilizes the soil where it goes, creating favorable fields of nature to the NE to inhabit, and at the same time, unfavorable dense foliage for any other race that would like to install itself there and depredate the land. In addition, when coming out of underground, quickly, it deals damage to any buildings that were nearby. However, it is highly vunerable to explosives, even when it's in the earth.


The schemematic drawing I say, is a pure conceptual drawing, with lines of thinking and different views.

Great :p. I've been looking at the galaxy code and making some comparations and I must say that this will be easy (not as complex as i expected :p)

Well that was one idea, i have an idea you could use for night elves as a unit since this is sci-fi...

Star Tigers
Fast ethereal form, can take corporal form an become a fierce flying melee unit that can hit both air and ground.
Can 'fade' to become invisible by bending the light around them
Could give them a self detonate ability; explosion does descent damage but kills them

They look like tigers but are a bluish mostly white energy, with blue energy eyes. They run on air.

I only had three minutes to think about abilities for this though so cannot think about much, but if ya don't want tis ok. Just trying to help.
 
I think what Happy 'The Cock'roach was saying was that there's going to be a LOT of people wanting to take the idea work, so we'll probably need to see more ideas from you.

I could throw in some unit idea work myself, but most of all this is HappyCockroach's ideas for the units and stuff, so I don't even know how much help he needs in that department (although he does seem to be lacking in some airship units for the Night Elves, even though I'm thinking he might not need them too urgently as he does have beast units already... what's your plans, HC? Why not more beasty units for the Elvsies? :3)

But isn't there anything else you can do, lief1?

lief1, primarily me and cockroach are working on ideas, your are good, be the nelfs are essentially done conceptually, except for a few details, and yours are much different in concept than our invisionment.


Hero and Wazzz are my minions in coding, It'l be nice to have some lackeys.

Also, Hero, the mole is my idea, and I am VERY finicky about it appearance. It is VERY specific.

Primarily, I don't think we need any more idea guys right now, as cockroach and I are doing quite well on out own. Thanks for the submissions, however.

lol twif, you can't do art, let HeroSlayer draw it. You remember we were having trouble with the mole's outfit? So, why do you reject help? Being 'finicky' about anything isn't good at all.

As soon as I have the concept, I will start drawing it :p. And If you approve it, i can start with the model or just draw other things. :grin: (whatever you choose)
It is the first time im in a team, I've always liked to work by myself because im very perfectionist and few people do the things correctly. I think you and HappyCockroach are of those few :D :mwahaha: so I would love to work with u guys. :grin:
