Warcraft 4: The Awakening
7a7ffcc2.jpg

Well I started this Project on TheHelper.net, but i thought it'd be good to spread the project around. My Thread on TheHelper.net has been there for a while (It has 352 posts) so if you could take your time to read the discussion going around on it that would be greatly appreciated.

Warcraft 4: The Awakening
is based on the events after Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, this will feature 5 campaigns which in are in this order:

Undead
Orcs
Humans
Forsaken
Night Elves

What will Warcraft 4 feature?

- New Units
- New Maps
- New Mechanics like Weather Clouds and Seasons
- New Campaigns
- New Interactive Creeps AND Critters
- And of course the continuation of Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne

Why Did you decide to make this?

Well we all know Warcraft 4 will not be made for at least another 3 years or 4, so i thought "hey why not continue it".

Team:
Renendaru: Jasser
Wc3shady: Lore/Terrainer
thewrongvine: Terrainer/Storyline Concepter
Kingbdogz(me): Leader/Terrainer/Unit Concepter/Lore and Storyline director

[CAMPAIGN UNDER CONSTRUCTION]

Cinematic 1: The Lich King
“Ten Years... Of waiting” Says the Lich King
“Ten Years of eternal Slumber…” Then it shows a picture of Kingbdogz Presents…
“And now... The Time is right to awaken… what has slept for thousands of years”
The Lich King opens his eyes with a flash of blue light then the ice cracks from the Frozen Throne.
The ice explodes and ice shatters everywhere.
The Lich King gets off the throne and raises Frostmourne. He screams into the heavens and the Sword starts to glow and shimmer. He then stabs the ground with huge force shattering all the ice and shifting all the snow off the ice mountain. Snakes, skeletons, abominations are in the transparent ice. The ice starts to break then all the units start to come out. Undead warriors rise from the snow and necromancers pop into existence leaving behind green clouds of acid.
“And now we shall avenge what we should of accomplished!” BOOM it goes black then the Logo “Warcraft 4: The Awakening” slowly fades out of the shades of black.

An undead acolyte walks near Thrall.
“Orc Leader, I have a message in the name of the Lich King,” Says the Acolyte
“What? The Lich King is back? I thought the undead were gone, and who said you could put one step on my land!” Says Thrall
“Yes, the Lich King has awaken, and the letter contains this message:
Orcish Leader, the Humans have fallen, the Undead is victorious, Stormwind is destroyed, and the Alliance is no more”
“But how? Stormwind was thought to never be destroyed, the Walls are impenetrable by Undead”
“The Lich King destroyed the spell protecting the Walls from any undead being, I do not know any more then that”
“The Lich King is now the new King of the world, kneel before his message or pay the price” continued the Acolyte
Thrall kneels, but does not look happy.
“For the Lich King!” the Acolyte says. He nods then walks away…

Not really, the only extreme hard part about this is the campaigns, the melee maps, balancing, units, weather, clouds, seasons, disasters, all those mechanics will at the least be finished. And knowing me even if i abandon a project i always come back a few months later.

NOTE: The Forsaken campaign is short, only about 7 missions compared to the other 10-15 missions on the other campaigns.

Well all I'm going to say is I'm half way done on the melee maps, the campaigns come last.

Good ideas, but you surely need a team to finish this.. start it when you feel motivated :p and do as much work as you can by yourself.. Oh and add the different endings, making the campaign replayable... also add secret levels, some free-oriented stages (like you can choose which path to choose) major events (Like the faction/mission leader is killed and you get a new choice/switch sides etc), another gameplay mode (Like some missions can be completed by doing it in a RPG style, or like your little scout group stumbles upon two unknown factions warring eachother, at this point the game turning like an AoS, in which you choose sides then you conquer a faction and get more troops), add some pure cinematic stages, and keep it open ended (like instead of finishing, at some important stages you get an open ended RPG, also available for multiplayer) Well, even if what I say is totally impossible, hope dies last.. :p

I do have a team, look at the top i have 4 team members helping me out atm. I like the idea of replayability with secret missions and so on (like if you finish the campaign you can play it again with extra missions) but changing how the campaign plays out is a little too hard and would make this campaign so epic that I'd need a Huge team to complete it. Plus, we got Starcraft 2 for that
