Warcraft 3 Replacement?

So my head was stuck to this point, when the magnificent Warcraft Reforged was released, will it replace the Hive's current Warcraft 3? Like uploading maps from Warcraft 3 will change to uploading Maps to Warcraft Reforged.?

They are meant to be cross compatible, so I fail to see the point of changing.

W3R = W3 so it's all the same. Except that some of the art resources might have separate sections for high res versions.
