Is this issue happening only to me, or is it the same for everyone? And how can I fix this? The character design looks like the default character.
here is a big difference between the visual and the character design. While the character design is (human), it appears as (orc).

The latest reforged patch introduced the ability to use custom portraits. However, if no custom portrait is specified or the default then some custom units will use the default portrait the unit is based off of, so for campaigns/maps made on older patches then this will occur as there's no way to set the proper portraits and you'll see the portrait of the unit that it was based off of.

To follow up on your response (because I'm considering switching off 1.27 -> 2.0), is there an easy way around this?
I mean when I'd be using some of the previous patches then the portrait will be automatically set to the imported unit's model, correct?
If so, can I re-enable this behaviour in the latest patch?

I hope I expressed myself clearly

Yeah, so if the field in the object editor is set to "None" then yeah you get the old behaviour where the unit uses the _portrait file or the built in portrait, however if the base unit did not have it set to None or something else then no you'll get this kind of behaviour on the latest patch. The only solution is if the map/campaign is updated to latest patch and the profiles set properly.

Okay, how and where can I change this potraid file? I'm getting this error for the first time, and I'm not exactly sure what to do. Could you explain it to me?"
