War Stomps/Slams Activating Together

After the Reforged patch, multiple units with the same AoE spell (such as a War Stomp) have all of their spells go off at the same time if it is used they are selected together (it was like this in beginning of TFT as well). Is there a way to remove this mechanic from being active?
 
It's already a thing since the classic, each ability in a unit should have a unique ability order id.
If you have time, try putting a War Stomp on a normal unit (it works completely fine on a hero) and group like 5-6 of the unit and push the spell. Every spell will go off at the same time. It works fine with Channel so I might just replace it with a triggered stun, but was hoping for a simpler method.
