"War of Steel" is a Aeon of Strife map dedicated for 10 players in-game and the map is actually a revamp of its original base the 'War of Argent'.

"Some of the undergoing looks smooth in view but the timing of creep charges is on a zigzag style, while some creeps gets too near at enemy towers while others get a fair spot of clash try to equalize all of them. The AI is also now in a good shape but still ends up getting beaten too quickly give it some beef to challenge and improve beginners."

"Terrain looks very flourishing right now, but the fountain with statues on the Team 1 base is a bit monotone, give it some more dramatic/realistic approach on that to boost more atmosphere."

"To my conclusion, map is good to go and 1 more thing, try to adjust those neutral creep camps I'm not sure why there are solo gnoll brutes always tagging along on other creep camps and seen in early minutes, not a good call in AoS type of maps."

I do not agree much "sorry daffa" download the map and see
it lessed copied dota, compared to mine but the level of the creation is too low
No sentinels/scourges there are humans / orc
heroes... a lot of work to do
so for the items
but the environment is good
you should use this at time = 0 s:

  • Visibility - Disable black mask
  • Visibility - Disable fog of war
  • Visibility - Enable fog of war
2/5 until improvements of the heroes and items

Well, i enjoyed playing it (even if it is single player). And i totally agree with DotCa, it is far too different from DotA.

another remade version of the infamous game, I wouldn't be too harsh to users remaking maps that are still high in the top lists but if you could read the rules

Originality
Resources should be unique. Largely similar resources, such as icons or skins that are hue-adjusted version of each other, simple reskins that don't change the shape of the model, or maps that are effectively clones of each other, such as most LOAP and Footman Wars maps, may be rejected.

Here is my review again >>> Played the map and this is a decent AOS so far but mostly you have problems with AI scripting. SO here is my review:

War of Argent v2.00 Review
[+] Good Points:
-A really good terrain, you mixed and change tiles well. But I would only suggest is maybe put maybe some doodads and fill it up and the terrain quite flat, you can raise/lower it.
-Has AI script... thats good for an AOS!
-Very good items and recipes. Turns out to be useful with each hero but maybe you should have added the basic items like in DotA: Bracers, Wraith Band, and Null Talisman.

[-] Bad Points:
-Good terrain but you should make some different levels in the ground because it is flat and also, you lack some doodads. Fill the terrain with some proper doodads.
-Your AI Scripts is quite badly made. Because when the AIs have chosen a hero they will attack automatically the tower of the enemies and also they dont cast spells so it is easy for me to kill them.
-You have good items but it sure do lacks starting items. All the items are for mid game and late games if you will notice and not even a single recipe for some startting items.

[] Suggestions:
-Improve your terrain by making different levels in the ground and also fill it with some proper doodads.
-Improve your AI script for it is badly made. It attacks towers... and also they dont even build items and most of all they dont use skills like in most AIs.
-Put some starting items such as recipes for those starting items. Like maybe in DotA, Wraith Band, Bracer, Null Talisman.
Overall, a decent AOS but lacks a good scripted AI and also imbalance item. I would rate this 3/5 for now. Hope you will still improve this... I really love AOS with AIs! +3 REP (Already given you a REP)!

100%, don't be anti-dota :p anw for the AoS, i read what does it mean and it is:
3 lanes, 2 forces, 2 bases, 1 principal structure for every team and creeps spawning every xx seconds, so basically those things i mentioned ca not be used as arguments for rejecting a "close" to dota map

PS: gonna see the V. 2 of yours, and will tell you the review

EDIT: REVIEW (V. 2.00)

*You can not buy items while your hero is not in base
*Is it me or there is almost no heroes (i only saw 6 in the taverns!!!)
*Gameplay needs enhancements
*Heroes are toooooo much imbalanced: Archangel who is a str hero has at lvl 6 the life of a creep wtf + damage too low + towers too strong + too much spawing creeps
*Spells need improvements
*Items: i thaught of them they were messy a bit, og well nevermind, Hellmaster is right, not much early items and worst point: NO SCROLL to teleport, man you have to add this item, it's essencial
*AIs: for me, it is : or make better AI (heores now don't buy items, are only ordered to attack-move once, not guided, they return if their health is low [it's ok] and the bot and top heroes get stuck at the corner points
*Ambience is boring often (that's for me)
* You can waste minuts to upgrade your hero!!!, weird

don't know if there is more, i don't want to add more zzz

but the thing that makes your map "good" is terrain and and the bases and everything on the terrain


In this review i was a bit strict, that's because my own AoS map is way better than yours but don't forget bro, have fun making your maps, repair your errors, improve and i am waiting war of snow ;)

Yes my map different than other aos.
-You cant by items while your hero isnt in base because, Players need to spending their money carefully.
-There is no town portal because, it's so easy to play
-Players have 30 seconds for improve hero.
-Towers too strong, My choice :D maybe i fix towers
-Creeps are strong and too much spawing, My choice again :D Because players try to survive and make strategy for farming.

Thanx to show my other mistakes DotCa and Hell master. I will add some ''starting items'' and add different balanced heroes.

AI: I am working on it :D

I have to admire with DotCa about his statement, he did explained main cores of your map, still looks very much like a clone because of the main base and tower style

here's some useful tips(Ideas) before you return back to the wip board:
-your map description explains the map has 22 heroes, but right now its only 6 and much of them is very imbalanced and take out some of the heroes present. Try to focus on mechanics, are you making an AoS that exceeds damages, equipment, and materials to huge amounts of power or your making an AoS that takes time to build good gear and gain advantage in time

-the creep spawn + the incoming siege unit is very much the idea of the original, why not make a system(or any else) that upgrades your units instead of the units getting upgraded when destroying an enemy barracks

-the AI is in terrible shape, there very clumsy and dies quickly before the game starts, get some help for the triggers or better remove the AI itself to prevent little chaos in-game

-in your description, your towers are strong, but it only took me 4-5 minutes to take the 1st tower down, the original game goes with the same loop, destroy the 1st tower before you can beat the next. How about this, all towers are really strong, it will take time and effort to beat the 1st till the second. But here's a catch, there has to be a lever/some creep running around the map and players have to kill it in order to weaken the towers in a small amount of time to get a chance to destroy such towers immediately.

e.x - hunt flying sheep to weaken enemy tower's armor by -xx and slows attack speed by x.xx seconds

-main bases still looks very the same, think about it, the towers,barracks,and the core are the important parts of the AoS, rest of the structures are just fillers, if such said and done redo the outline of the base. Force 1 should have like a park theme going around the base while Force 2 should have a graveyard settings, visualize the idea I'm going long with the text here

-lastly the cores or should I say 'the tree and the ice cream', there still in the map with just a change of appearance. Ditch the idea and change them into some boss to kill to end the game, a strong boss that it takes good gear or the whole team to take it out, and such boss will have there specified abilities/advantage as well. Speaking of bosses, you have that roshan-alone boss in your AoS which most of the AoS nowadays follows his blood, not a good idea, I suggest you remove the dragon's camp and replace them with a boss, so that makes your map having 2 bosses to fight + the enemy team's boss.
