For facing newer players, It is normally a good idea to get a blademaster as your starting hero. Build two barracks and begin massing grunts(begin massing ASAP, not when both are finished). Tech whenever you have enough expendable resources, and then get siege(Demolishers) and casters(shamans and witch doctors). With enough micro(the ability to control more than 1 unit efficiently) and positioning, wards can be exceptionally effective. For your blademaster, choose wind walk as your first skill followed by critical strike alternating until level 6, which is when you should get Bladestorm. Using 1/2 grunts and your blademaster, you should take out low level creep camps early for items, experience, and gold; all very important for early game success. Harassment using your blademaster is very effective against newer players and is generally the most effective against Night Elf players. Simply walk around using wind walk inside your opponents base and attack weak buildings/units(normally builder units), and re-enable wind walk as soon as you begin to take considerable damage. Use clarity potions and healing salves to keep up your rate of harassment.

i would have to disagree with getting bm first, he is not new player friendly, it takes practice to play him efficiently. i would recommend the far seer until you get better at orc. the far seer has wolves which can be used to power level yourself early and not take any damage, damaged wolves can be sent out to scout the enemy and the far seers chain lightning owns low hp mobs. i would recommend going to wcreplays.com and check out some orc replays to see how they are played.
