Want to start modeling but all the tutorials seem old. Im I doing someting wrong?

Hello I want to modify this Doodad to only leave the flying orbs.

I tried using the warcraft 3 model editor but I dont seem to find the mpq files required in the folder. I think that they are obsolete now? because cant find any mpq file in the warcraft 3 folder. What is the tool everyone uses to modify a doodad from the w3 library?

Couldnt find the things because all the tutorials seem to be before 2018.

So after a while I figured it out that everyone uses retera model editor. And after playing a bit I managed to do what I wanted

Well know I want to remove an animation from the model, the birth animation. Is there a way to do this?

Deleting animations is the easiest part
Download mdlvis and select the animation you want and click delete.
You can also try it in Retera Studio, but I've already forgotten where the animation section is.

Yes, there is such a possibility.
But I use the "matrix eater" for this (the first version of Retera).

In your case in Retera, you can try :
- Click on "Scripts" -> "Change animation length by scaling", something like that, I don't remember the label exactly.

Then you reduce the animation duration.
