W3 MiniMap issues.

To start this off, the creator of this map has the entire map unprotected and lets anyone touch it. He's been inactive for nine months and I've decided to see if I can make a few changes that were breaking the map. But when I finally opened the map into world edit and saved it. When I got into the game, the minimap had several changes and looked pretty terrible. I want to know if anyone knows what changes these are, and how I can revert it back to the old minimap while keeping the changes I've made into the map.

Not sure what caused the terrain to be rendered lighter in the minimap. Usually this would be due to a change of tileset.

Did you move the boundaries at all? Not sure what else would cause the frame to move like that.

Otherwise looks pretty normal to me. Minimaps in WC3 just are not that high quality.

Sorry guys. I meant how do I make it where the map isnt brighter and different colors? Not the frame

Try using both Reforged and Classic graphics and saving the map to see if that makes a difference. The minimap textures seemed to be generated from samples of terrain texture. As Reforged and Classic use different terrain textures it is possible this might make a difference.

As a side note since you mentioned it, i hope you are taking note that you modified it in the map description or somewhere else and updating the version number. Just my opinion, so the players will know and also so you get credit, and alao so the original author gets appropriate credit.

Well, I'm not sure if I want the "Credit" Because I'm not doing much with the map. Only doing a couple of bugfixes after W3: Refunded, but for sure im going to be changing the name and continue giving the old map developer credit! Also, I found a thread talking about my issues, but still cant figure it out as the map developer left everything in the W3 editor incredibly unorganized. This is it.

I mean it’s not about u or him getting credit but more organizing the various versions and keeping track of who did what incase further revisions are needed.
