Volcano Island

So, this is my terrain. It's a small lake within a volcano island. I know it probably lacks a lot of things but I don't know how to improve it, so any ideas?

Waterfall is flat, but because I don't know how to explain it by myself, i quote someone who is wiser than me...

Where === is edge of waterfall, and .\/. is river flow, and || \\ // are river banks, and [] are stones sticking out.

Well, it's not very clear, but do you get an idea? If not, look at the other pictures of waterfalls.

Then I suggest you to make that water transparent and add something cool underwater.
And I also suggest you to add rocks or something to those rocktiled hills, they look pretty empty atm. And if I were you, I'd try to add sun left of volcano

Well if that has to be volcano shouldn't it be black or red (magma) ? And also I think the volcano too straight maybe add some ..how to say.. well little hills on it if you understand what I'm talking about.

Well, modifying the waterfall isn't my top priority, but I'll check what I can do with it. Water can ofc made transparent... I just have to think what to add beneath it. And yea I know I have to improve those hills.. They're quite boring. Sun is a great idea also, I'll check what I can do

I'm not sure if it needs magma, all activity it has is that rising smoke.. But if I could make it look good maybe I'll add magma also. And yeah, I'm trying to change the height variation on the volcano, It's just difficult to make it looking good

I think Piwlady is totally right when he says improving the waterfall is important, you can easily do it by adding stones to the "stones"tile next to the waterfall !!
At this stage, the cliifs look way to boring! Try to improve that first!

I think it just need something like rocks and that kind of stuff on it's slopes.

It's better, add bit more rocks and add those shrubs to slopes

Well I think it's better but maybe add more rocks on the cliff or maybe some palms or grass I don't know but place something else too to be more interesting

Ideas for volcano... erm...

How about adding something else there than just on tile? Slopes of volcano looks plain.

The fog color you use is false. It's green, when it should respond to the heat/high temperature of the volcano, which is an orange-red.

The volcano isn't erupting, it's not heating the entire jungle. But I've been thinking of making an eruption version of the terrain. But first I'm focusing on improving the current terrain.

I've added rocks and plants on the cliffs, does it look better now?

the vulcano needs alot of work also smooth the edges near the river/lake

Add bit more rocks and then add tile varitation there.

I can add rocks but tile variation on volcano is quite impossible because I have only one rock tile, and I have no room for others
